Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandAccommodation is expensive in Dublin so it’s hard to complain about the cost too much. The layout is weird and you may need to traverse multiple stairways in multiple directions. Room was warm. Windows are opaque and smokers may be under said window, so it couldn’t be opened.
Location and the room had everything we needed.

Canada• Confusing building layout; depending on your room number, you could be taking an elevator, navigating through a maze of hallways, climbing a few stairs, then taking a different elevator to get to your room • Shower head is the fixed type rather than the detachable type. This is mostly a matter of preference, but I'm disclosing this for transparency, in case anyone else is particular about this sort of thing • The quality of the toilet paper isn't very good. All the other consumable items in the bathroom are high quality, but their toilet paper falls short.
• Bed is very comfortable • Amazing selection of toiletries. They made a really good purchase decision on their shampoo and shower gel, I'm quite fond of the scent. • Bathroom has a shaving mirror, for that extra precision • Bathroom also has facial tissues, not just toilet tissues. As a traveler, I usually have to buy tissues because most hotels don't provide them. I appreciate this hotel for being different. • Bedroom area has a safe to store valuables in • Good location: >Very easy to get to/from the airport >Located next to a police station, which in theory should make the area safer >Bus & tram stops located nearby >Lots of shops & restaurants nearby

United KingdomOur room was at the front so it was quite noisy from the traffic. The curtains need to be black out ones as the light from the bus depot opposite made it difficult for us to get to sleep.
Our room was a good size for 2 people and we had everything we needed. All staff were helpful and friendly.

AustraliaDue to being in the old section we had no lifts except to first floor of new section then it was a rabbit warren of turns and short stairs going down then up then more turns. It was easy to find but with large suitcases a pain.
Room was bigger than some people’s homes. Bed was huge and comfortable. The furniture was antiques but still fitted the old style of the room. We were in the old section of the hotel. Bathroom was modern and updated. So convenient to train and bus and tram plus five minutes you were near the centre. Right near EPIC museum.

GermanyThere is a defect in the windows, meaning they were not completely sealed. Consequently, we can hear the ventilation and the tram passing by. (See the uploaded pictures.)
Everything was clean and bed comfortable.

United StatesLocation is a bit sketchy (for a country girl), comfortable during the day to walk around and explore. Room was basic...clean with a stain (or burn) on the aged carpet. Part of the building reminded me of an old boarding house (where I stayed) with stairs and hallways all over. The floors were squeaky (old wood) and people above me were out late and up early
Close to bus, trolley and shuttle to the airport. The EPIC center and the Liffey River are an easy walk away. Breakfast and breakfast room were great. Staff gave me directions and answered my questions about the surrounding area.

As a solo traveller I very much appreciated the clean and comfortable bedroom complete with toiletries and hairdryer ; the on site restaurant with nice food and friendly and professional bar staff ; the welcoming reception staff who accommodated my preference for a quiet bedroom so I could conduct a work teams meeting and the excellent choice of breakfast . The location was perfect for the business meeting I had to attend . This will now become my hotel of choice for my future trips.

United States"Very good breakfast" was listed on booking.com. We did not know that the breakfast was not included in the room price and were surprised when we were later charged for 4 breakfasts. The breakfast prices should be listed in the booking. Thanks
