Hot and cold water pressures were imbalanced making a shower in the bathroom almost impossible to regulate. Shower in en-suite was fine, in contrast.

We also had the hot/cold water „issue“ with the bath tub. However, the second shower worked perfectly normal and we did not mind to share.

The road at first was a little trying getting to the cottage not being able to see what was coming, then we realized how careful the on coming drivers were, so it became less trying.

Excellent location if you go by car. The cottage is beautifully designed, equipped with everything you may wish. Apart from the spacious dining area in the kitchen, there is a saloon for watching movies or admiring the landscape. We loved it.

Due to storm Eowyn, the cottage lost electricity during our second (of four) nights' stay. Power and WiFi did not return to the area until several days after we departed. We made the best of it. The fireplace was nice and the back-boiler for warm water was much appreciated. Unfortunately, the very nice coffee-maker had to stand idle without electricity.

Everything about the cottage and its location was perfect, exactly as described. It is a gorgeous place, and we already plan to stay there again if we can. We especially liked the fact that the cottage held up with almost no damage during one of the area's worst wind storms in recorded history--it shook and rattled all night and part of the day, but everything held up well.

The property should tell you that you MUST have a car. We had to rely on using a taxi (but there are only 5 drivers) and hard to get rides. Walking was not even an option, as too far from anything.

Our only issue with the rental was access to hot water -- we only had about 10 mins of hot water when we arrived and then could not get it to reheat. However once we contacted the property they sent someone out to fix it and it was working again.

Absolutely bucolic setting with stunning views of the coastline and Aran Islands. Sunsets were mesmerizing. We cooked most of our own meals in the well equipped kitchen . We did many walks and hikes right out the door and onto the Burren trails going north. The staff in town were very helpful and readily available by phone. The shower was wonderful. We appreciated having a washing machine and clothesline! We had 6 days of sunshine!

The view of the Atlantic and the Aran islands was stunning. Appreciate the essentials left in the fridge of local produce, a lovely welcome for weary travellers. The stove fire was wonderfully comfortable in the sitting room.

The roads leading to the house are very narrow and if you're not used to driving on the opposite side of the road, it can be stressful. But that's nobody's fault, just worth noting before you decide to drive.

This was the perfect relaxing getaway. The house is surrounded by nothing but fields and cows, with a beautiful view of the ocean.

The location being outside of town and beyond walking distance, this means it’s a little far for services. We hadn’t realized this as google maps doesn’t describe the type of road to get there. Plan ahead especially for food: it’s a charming location.

L’Atlantic Rose is located outside of Doolin, along a small backroad. It’s at the top of a rise and overlooks the coastline, hence offers a spectacular sunset…WOW! The cottage is renovated with charm, all white and tidy inside and with amenities for a lovely stay. The fridge had been stocked with beautiful produce for snacks and breakfast, which enabled us to simply enjoy the spot upon arrival and not need to head to Doolin for groceries until the next day. We’d suggest thinking ahead about groceries…you’ll not want to leave once you’ve arrived!
