Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceGreat location. Met the expectations, nice kitchen, the facilities need a little lift up but it's acceptable with the price.

AustraliaIt was strange that you had to make your own bed. All the other hostels that I’ve stayed at always had the doona cover on the doona etc. The other hostels I’ve stayed at were cheaper and provided a ready made bed.
It had the cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen in a hostel. There was never any food left in the sinks and having a spray bottle so you could clean up afterwards and the hooks to hang up the tea towels meant you could always find a tea towel!

FranceThe location was perfect! We were in a 6 bed female dorm room and it was just what we needed. We didn't spend much time in the hostel itself apart for sleeping and the beds were comfortable, facilities were clean which was the most important for us 👍It's a good place for a decent price. I recommend it!

United KingdomThe speed of the WiFi. But it’s not a big deal.
I liked the fact we had a separate room and the location was so central to everything we wanted to do. I also love the fact that there’s kitchen facilities with free tea and coffee. The fact it is also 24hrs. The staff were so accommodating

United KingdomThe communal showers/ toilets for my room (Ash) was very congested for 15 odd beds there. The showers/ toilets were too small. You could just barely stand in there. The ceiling was very low for 15 odd beds. Me being on the upper level bed could almost touch the ceiling while sitting on the bed (They cant do much now about it as it is how the rooms were constructed)
I loved the stuff. They were very helpful, polite and understanding. The cleaning was spot on. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. The toilets and bathrooms were clean as well.

Irelandpillows. no toast in morning but they are very minor issues. The hostel could do with an upgrade as there are many brand new hostels in the area and this is being left behind.
Firstly, the staff are brilliant, helpful, and friendly. Pillows are a bit too thin, and even when doubled up, they are not thick enough. Showe rooms could be a bit bigger for us, more larger people but shower power and hot water are great and they are clean. wifi can be hit and miss or slow but a lot of people using at the same time can slow it up. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day is a bonus but even some toast would not go amiss in the mornings. Location is great and very central to both Temple Bar, O'Connell and Grafton streets. so much to do and not enough time. 9 days maximum stay is understandable

United StatesSingle bathroom for 6 people to share. If someone is showering and blow drying their hair it can be as long as 20 minutes or more to wait to use the toilet. It would be great if there was another toilet and sink available for use. The sink could even be in the room so someone could brush teeth or wash face or blow dry hair enabling others to use the bathroom with shower.
Staff very helpful and friendly along with the convenient location which is walkable to area attractions, shopping, Terrace Bar area, Dublin Express bus to airport ( 35 minute ride) and local public transportaion to include buses, trams and rail. They are also very dilligent with keeping security tight requiring guests to be buzzed in deterring people who are not guests to come on the premises.
