Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandNo spare towels. Just one for one person and hand towel. No toiletries. That isn't a problem, but you need to know to bring your own. No spare bin bags. Only one small in the bin. Two couples, and we all had the same thoughts, that its just missing this small final touch which makes you striving to back and go back...
Nice, quiet location. Nice cottage. Nice surroundings for walking. Good spot for visiting neighbourhood. I would recommend.

CyprusAccommodation obviously being upgraded and will be great when completed. No blinds on the ground floor or main bathroom. Would prefer washing machine and ironing facilities in the accommodation and not in a main communal facility.
Good location for sightseeing around the area. Comfortable beds. Mary is an asset to the place and very personable.

IrelandThe place was mostly perfect, just two observations: - WiFi was a bit on the slow side, occasional buffering (the owners provide a good DVD collection and xbox 360 games for entertainment if needed, also speeds probably typical for this area). - Not many condiments available for meals (beyond satchets of sugar, salt, pepper and some teabags, cooking oil)...no shampoo/shower gel but again, nothing major but worth knowing ahead of time :)
Spacious home with comfortable living area, well-equipped kitchen/utility, 1 bathroom, 2 en-suites and comfortable bedrooms. Great for a relaxing holiday, lots of privacy, a great Bluetooth speaker to connect to your Tidal/Spotify etc, very near the bay with lots of great walks around. Picnic table and clothes line in the back. Beautiful treehouse area along the walkway. Would suggest bringing wellies for typical Irish weather maybe. Excellent option for families or friends, I can see kids loving it here in particular :)

IrelandCottage is wonderfully located just a few mins outside of Glengariff. Excellent sized rooms and a stove for those cooler evenings - our stay was in late Sept. There's an amazing walk through the woods to the shoreline. A wonderful hidden gem!

IrelandThere wasn't curtains on any windows on the lower level of our cottage and the glass in the windows was clear without any blurring effect. There wasn't any window cover on a bathroom with clear glass too. We felt quite vulnerable.
The location was lovely surrounded by nature.

NetherlandsWe got a warm welcome by Mary. The house was super with an amazing view. There were several beautiful pathways to the private beach. It is also perfect for our dog 🐕. Ardnagashel is a great base for checking out that amazing area, like Healy Pass and the Ring of Beara.

United KingdomThe property is not family friendly, unfortunately there was a disconnect between Booking.com and the property as we were travelling with a four and one year-old and there were no facilities for children when we arrived, luckily we had taken our own cot with us. To be fair, this was very quickly remedied the next morning while we were provided with a baby bath, highchair and cot. The highchair was covered in mould which was not great. The cottage was unfortunately not clean. There were cobwebs and spiders everywhere which I understand in an old building may happen but these are ones that had been there for months. The cutlery was not clean and the cupboards and drawers had not been cleaned. The worst thing was one of the beds had not been changed and was full of hair. The thing I struggled with the most about the cottage was the smell the windows had been left open so I didn’t notice at first. The heating had also been turned off so when we arrived, it was freezing cold and when the cottage started to heat up the smell became quite awful. The idea of the cottage is really lovely however there are some issues, I would not recommend for families with small children.
The location is beautiful and the walk down to the little beach is magical.
