Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Only that we couldn't stay longer.
Loved the beautiful apartment which had everything we needed to settle in- bread, milk,etc. An abundance of towels was provided and apartment situated in close proximity to the town. The bedrooms were spacious and pristine Good wifi. Chinese situated across street from apartment was excellent and very good value for money. Finally our hosts - Mary and Michael- I could sing their praises all day- very welcoming and lovely people. I would highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely make a return visit.

It is a really beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Our host was fantastic. She even had milk, bread, butter, and biscuits for us, which is a nice touch as you can easily forget to bring them with you. We're looking forward to returning again.

The apartment was excellent, very clean, perfect location to visit the best places around. Also very close to restaurants, pubs, take aways. Mary is a lovely woman, very friendly. I will recomend it to all my friends and I hope we come back there in future.

Very central to bars and restaurants that was on your doorstep. Comfortable beds and the bedrooms had plenty of space and were cosy and warm.

Only thing I would add to improve the property is black out blinds or curtains in the bedrooms

Location was excellent for sight seeing in that part of Donegal. Plenty of choice in places to dine. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. Our apartment was lovely as was our host, who greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming.

Mary was there to greet us on arrival and had some milk, bread and butter already provided for us. What a lovely lady & WOW our accommodation was immaculately presented & tastefully decorated. Mary also gave us plenty of tips for where to go or where to eat, and she told us to call her if there was anything else we wanted to know. Very spacious rooms with WiFi and also netflix on TV to keep the kids happy. Perfect location to explore this part of Donegal and the town also has a great selection of shops, bars & places to eat. Private parking at the location is also very handy. The main car park just down the road has an ESB EV charger which we used after every day's outings. I'd highly recommend staying here and we'll be back 🥰

Excellent property in an excellent location (literally at the top of the main street in Dungloe!). Everything was spotlessly clean, and all of the beds were incredibly comfortable!! The host had brought us milk and bread, and even left us some biscuits for our tea! Each of the two bedrooms had a little basket of useful items too, and shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner were left for our convenience in the bathroom! We had plenty of clean towels and toilet paper, and all of the kitchen utensils/essentials you would hope for, as well as tea, coffee, and sugar! As an extra bonus, there was a wall-mounted small flat-screen tv in each bedroom and the living room, which was connected to wifi and included streaming services (we didn't need to sign in with our own subscriptions - they were already signed in courtesy of the host! There was also ample parking and Wifi. We would return in a heartbeat - excellent value for money!

Good communication throughout our booking/stay. Friendly warm welcome from Mary on arrival. Clean spacious rooms. Plenty of towels. Lots of extras like selection of breads, milks and biscuits. They even had my request for dulse waiting for me on arrival. Disability friendly. Cosy and warm. I would most definitely return here.
