Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandA top class stay in Ramelton. The apartment we stayed in was perfect. The place was really spacious and nicely decorated, the bed was so comfortable and Des is a gentleman. He was very hospitable and helpful throughout our stay. Would thoroughly recommend this spot as a place to explore the surrounding areas such as Downings and Dunfanaghy as well as Ramelton itself!

Des knowledge and simple things like the way the cheese box was arranged. The wine selection is amazing. The rib eye steaks perfection. A truly unique property in an extremely photogenic location. The owner of the building runs a wonderful grocery beneath the apartment and is extremely generous in providing a spectacular welcome cheese board and wine. Des also kindly made us morning coffees at no charge. The apartments themselves are beautifully and lovingly decorated. Well worth a visit

The property is attractive, warm, and well appointed. It also has nice views of the river and is atop a great shop with cheese, baked goods, coffee, and fine food. Des the shop owner and staff were all very welcoming.

United KingdomWe liked everything.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay, our riverfront apartment was spacious and immaculately presented. The beautifully curated objet d’art makes the apartment feel very special, like staying in a friend’s very tasteful home. Des and his team were extremely welcoming, generous, knowledgeable and fun hosts, who looked after us very well. We also felt very lucky to have the Blue Goat Deli as our larder, we will definitely return.

IrelandAn outstanding stay. Des G has done an amazing job of bringing these beautiful buildings in Ramelton back to life. The Blue Goat shop has the most delicious cheese, wine, coffee, food, art and artefacts and all the most delicious food you might need to stay upstairs, in one of two lovingly curated apartments. The apartments are more like homes: filled with a lifetime of interesting books, art, games (including a scrabble dictionary!), McMutt cushions and throws…and a fully equipped kitchen that’s a home from home. When we arrived, we were surprised with a delicious bottle of organic red wine, a carefully prepared box of cheese, apple chutney and delicious chorizo. The best arrival gift I’ve ever tasted. Outside there is the most serene view of the River Lennon, in which you can see the clear reflection of the Blue Goat building. All nestled in the tightly bound, warm, friendly and well located Ramelton, where you can explore the country market, Green Door Vintage clothing and Conway’s bar. I was barely home and I’ve booked my next trip!

United KingdomWhilst it was not a problem for my daughter and I, the live music which is played late at night during the festival, could be disruptive to anyone who values their early night sleep.
Location was perfect with a river view. My daughter and I stayed during the Ramelton Lennon Festival so the town was buzzing with a small fairground outside of the apartments, great live music, parades and all sorts of fun activities. The artisan food store and deli, attached to the apartments, was an absolute joy, stocking an array of amazing cheeses and wines, as well as many other delights, including beautiful paintings. Des, the proprietor of the apartments and store was a lovely gentleman and extremely helpful, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Last, but by no means least, was the beautiful apartment with artistic decor which was absolutely spotless, making our stay an extremely pleasurable one.

United KingdomEasier access after the shop was closed. A little more information on arrival about controlling the heating and hot water.
The location looking out over the river was superb. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with great art on the walls and an impressive array of books. The kitchen was very well equipped and the knives were sharp (which is rare in self-catering apartments). Des, owner of the apartment and the Blue Goat delicatessen on the ground floor, sells a sumptuous array of cooked meats, Irish cheeses, wine, chocolates and coffee and is the perfect host.

AustraliaThey ran out of duck!
We were able to cook a delicious meal from the goods in the downstairs store attached to our accommodation. We made Duck Ragout with spaghetti and tomato infused sauce. Delicious pre-packed duck legs together with a great bottle of red that was recommended by the owners with a view overlooking the river, we enjoyed our stay at the Blue Goat. The owners had also given us some great cheeses with biscuits to end off our meal. The experience was a total surprise.
