How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, clean and hot, and air-conditioning. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing after a hot day. The breakfast was delicious, plus they had a menu you could order food during the day and evening. Close to shops and takeaway food.

Not close to Kuta which is where all the touristy things are which we did not realise, our fault but still !

If we could suggest anything for improvement: it would be helpful to have some kind of quiet hours or curfew for the outdoor area and pool. Two out of four nights were unfortunately quite noisy due to guests talking and laughing loudly outside late into the night. Also, having two cups and two glasses in the room instead of just one set would be a small but welcome improvement.
We had a really lovely stay at Zavana Rooms! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. A special thank you to Arif, who helped us get to know the island better, patiently answered all our questions, and gave us great local tips. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfy bed and a clean, modern bathroom. We also appreciated the unlimited tea and coffee in the room – a nice touch! The breakfast options were fine, and the pool area was clean and inviting. It was also great that the hotel offers various tours and scooter rentals directly on-site – super convenient!

One of the staff currently has £500 of my money I have been scammed, I need him to reach out to me and send this money back as I am just a solo traveller running out of money

Really enjoyed my stay at Zavana Rooms in Mataram. The place is cozy and clean, and the staff were very kind and helpful throughout. Anna, the owner, is a lovely person and made sure everything was smooth.

Food could have been a little bit better, bathroom supplies like body wash, shampoo and conditioner would have been handy maybe a fridge in the room too - all just ‘extras’ to improve this place, but nothing was fundamentally wrong. oh and maybe a bigger/thicker blanket for the bed.
The staff make this place; they were great, really nice people and happy to help with anything. Loved the fact there was a kettle in our room! The hotel is basic but beaut, perfect for a few nights stay.

The open bathroom, l do not get the point, on the day is okay but in the evening mosquitos are flying all around.
nice, cozy place, really good value for money. I ate everyday lunch and dinner was really tasty. All staff super friendly and helpfull, changed my room with no problem, cause there was constructions,so thet offered ro change to better room.

It is an amazing place, very safe located in a quite and safe neighborgood. The staff is super friendly and they can help you to rent a scooter bcs you will need it. The pool os amazing so I just have to say thank you so much Zavana team, I had the best stay in Lombok (:

As anywhere the mosques might wake you up at night.
Staff was so lovely and friendly and helped with the luggage on arrival and departure. The pool is clean and there is a small sitting area to eat outside wich is lovely. Staff was available all day for requests.

Awesome rooms, very clean and spacious with lovely open air en-suite. Great pool to unwind in. Very tasty breakfast. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.

staff was very attentive the original room I was in had an issue with the shower and they moved me to another room immediately. breakfast was delicious every morning and they refilled your water quickly upon request. the rooms were very clean with AC and WiFi and the bathrooms are beautiful. pool is also very clean and beautiful. I loved it so much I extended my stay 2 extra days. its walking distance to a lot of local warungs and even laundry.

Only thing is that there are not too many restaurants nearby, luckily Grab works perfectly. :)
Excellent accommodation with welcoming feeling. Pool and staff were top-knotch. We liked staying here especially with quietness at nights, excellent sleep. Breakfast was also very tasty.

The A/C was working in the second room but was not very efficient

Surrounded by 3 mosques so don't forget to take the soundproof room Otherwise you will be awake by 4:30 am.

It isnt written here but you have to get a deluxe room to have hot shower
the personnal was amazing, caring, so sweet and so helpfull. they helped us get an quick laundry (from Rinjani to a cruise the next day we were on a rush) and founded a massage last minute at night the room was really nice, quiet and clean

The standard room does not have warm water!!! I didn’t know and was very disappointed. Apart from that, everything is perfect.

Property is new! Everything is working well beautiful room and good area to chill out next to the pool. The guys are amazing they looked after us, they helped us with everything! Our was kind of mission but we did it with their help. Really nice people, recommended 100%
