Nice bungalow with view on garden and bordering the see. Very friendly owner helping us organize a great snorkeling trip to neighboring islands. Great breakfast as well. Great location close to a very nice warung (Indah). We would definitely come back again to this charming place.

Somehow booking.com set the price for my dates at an expensive rate and the same room was a lot cheaper right after so it was overpriced for what it was - quite basic.

The location was great, beautiful view and sea breeze, quiet location and Sophia was fantastic.

Nice accommodation right next to beach. It’s located in very quiet location. Interieror was clean and comfortable. Be prepared for only cold water for showering ( don’t be afraid of it. Bathroom is opened and there is warm so shower is fine and very refreshing). Guests Sofia and her husband Gun are very nice and kind people. Sofia prepare great breakfast and can help you arrange any trip you want ( recommending snorkeling in islands with last stop gili layar - you can have a lunch there). Gun can take you by boat when you want and you can also ask them to come for you to harbor. Few meter next to accommodation you can find first small shop when you can buy some drink or snack. On this side of island is 1 warung ( aprox. 100m away ). I can recomend it. Prices was fair and it was quick.

The AC! The breakfast, the free water refills and most of all long conversations with Sofie who is a wonderful host. Her husband can organise snorkel tours on his own boat for very good prices also tours and transfers to Lombok. There is one warang on this side of the island.

Some people may find that the location from the east side a little far but I enjoyed the walk and met lots of lovely friendly locals along the way.

This is lovely, budget friendly accommodation on Gili Gede. It is very well maintained and Sofe and Gun went out of their way to be helpful in every way. Sofe's banana pancakes are the best! Short stroll to the sunset side of the beach, and lovely Warung just a couple of minutes away, Some of the eating places on the Sunset side are really lovely. Treat yourself to a meal at Kokomo - not cheap but freshly made bread and greens from the garden overlooking a really lovely part of the beach. The more remote part of the island has gorgeous beaches and views with noticeably less trash.

Be careful about what accommodation you book here. The front villa is absolutely delightful - luxury plus - but I didn't realise I hadn't booked that, it was a small hut set behind, with only a mattress on the floor. The bathroom was outside to the rear of the bungalow and needed a climb over a hammock and down some narrow steps a bit tricky in the night. I'm a senior and this wasn't quite what I had in mind, I need to be more careful when booking, but was adequate for my stay and Sofe and Gede made up for it. I was devastated with the amount of rubbish on the island, aside from a few areas which were obviously maintained by accommodation owners there is literally trash everywhere. I understand a lot floats in from Lombok, but not in the centre of the island. Apparently there is a new committee who are working on this situation. I found this quite overwhelming.

We had a great stay at Yellow Coco! The hosts Gun and Sophie are so sweet and kind and help you with everything you need. The bungalow was spacious and the bathroom was big. Breakfast was tasty. Recommend!

View. Proximity to amazing food

The hosts were super friendly and the included breakfast was delicious. They even made vegan pancakes for the first time for us. The bungalow is located direktly at the beach and you have a nice view sitting on the veranda. Room is spacious and clean. The island is very calm and beautiful for snorkelling.

The property is on the quiet local side of the island. It is at the end of the houses so you have woods on one side, ocean in the front, very peaceful. Sofi is the most wonderful host, I truly loved her company and her sweet daughter Hana.

It is a walk to get to see this wonderful locals island but worth it.

Staff was really friendly and attentive. They were really professional and helped me with all my needs. Hotel itself is clean, well maintained, and comfortable. I stayed at rainy season , so it was nice to have clean and dry haven to retire after day exploring around.

Sophia and Gun went out of their way to look after us. The snorkelling trip to five locations with Gun's uncle Eddy was so great we went twice! The people on Gili Gede are very friendly and welcoming. Dont miss watching the sun go down over a drink at the Pondok Sunset Bar.

I wish we had booked the deluxe room with aircon.

Sophie was super friendly and took care of everything.

We had no power for a short period and no water but Sophie took care of it. WiFi was not included and we had to pay it extra.

The view, breakfast and owners

Very hot at night, one night without a working shower, rubbish everywhere on the island

The tiny accomodation is right in front of the sea, in an unspoiled and unexplored part of the island, close to local people. Gun et Shopiee are lovely hosts, very warm and welcoming. We had breakfast in the garden and dinner in their restaurant very close to the accomodation. They organized for us tranfer from/to Gili Gede and an amazing snorkeling around Gili Islands. Sincerely suggested for travelers looking for an authentic experience in Indonesia.

Very quiet place in front of the beach

Gun and Sophi are wanderfull hosts, they take us out for an amazing boat trip around the islands to do an amazing snorkeling experience. Rooms are clean and with good view of the sea, you can order food for dinner and lunch too, and it's been great. If you need a transfer after your stay, they can bring you there

Absolutely nothing

Lovely micro resort run by a young and very guest oriented couple, Sophy and Gun (say: Goen). Gili Gede is a nice little secret place.

More ventilation in the cabin. But can also keep the door open.

The hosts were extremely nice, they made our stay amazing. The food was delicious. The place is on the beach and really quiet.

I stayed in Yellow Coco in June 2024 for a total of 8 nights and if I could I would've stayed longer! :D The place is magical, simple accomodation and amenities, but a lovely garden and super friendly hosts Gun and Sofi. They make lovely food at a decent price, the Gado Gado and the grilled fish were my favorite.
