Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesShower water pressure is a bit low, but otherwise nothing bad to say.
Close walking distance to restaurants, shops, scooter rentals, currency exchange, street market, monkey forest BUT away from the noise. Has its own waterfall which brings a calm to your stay. Has a terrace with a large comfortable sofa/bed you can lounge on and enjoy the sounds of nature with green all around you. We enjoyed it every morning. Staff was very friendly. All tap water is drinkable.

United KingdomWe accidentally booked the room with just a fan not realising and it got very hot at times during the night. I’d book the rooms with AC if I came again
We enjoyed our time here, it was the perfect location to explore Ubud and set back from the main roads which can be hectic. The place was really relaxing and we even extended our stay. Good recommendations for laundry and food which we appreciated.

Germany- For me the constant sound of the fountain in the garden was way too much, esp. during the night. Even with earplugs I couldn’t really sleep. - The price / value wasn’t there for me compared to others in Ubud centre. No A/c or breakfast incl. at a higher price. For me a nice, clean standard room - wouldn’t call it deluxe. - My room Deluxe King Room was at the beginning, so I felt some lack of privacy & had my curtains always closed - having said that there are only two more rooms down there, so not much traffic. - Contrary to the description they don‘t offer airport pick-ups. It should be removed, it’s misleading as this made me book this place. - No A/c only fan - Mostly only geckos in the room which are harmless and good moskito net around the bed
Well located, centre of Ubud just a few minutes walk away and a lovely market just seconds. Safe, quiet neighbourhood. Clean and well maintained room, bed linen & bathroom. Lovely veranda with comfy sofa overlooking a tiny garden. Kettle, coffee / tea making facilities and fridge. Little cute kitten. Quick, clear communication beforehand.

AustraliaWater pressure in shower is not good.
Great size room with verandah and large daybed-table & chairs and good size fridge. Good aircon and mosquito net over bed. The peace & quiet of the jungle garden with the sound of the waterfall, but very close to the centre! Lots of market stalls on the busy narrow street and it is difficult to get a car close enough for drop off with luggage, so be aware that you may need to walk around 300 metres.

KazakhstanThere is no privacy because, behind the property a few meters, there is a house with apartments. To reach the property you have to walk through the private terraces of the apartments of the house. You always see and hear people who live in the spend time on the terraces. The apartments are related to the White Lotus Oasis. The constant noise from the river. The noise gets louder after a rain. The pillows are really hard. The knives are dull.
The view from the terrace is perfect. The lighting is lovely, warm and calm. The mould smells are absent. Hot water in bathroom sink. The Internet is good. AC is good. It's close to the centre.

Australiathe waterfall out front ...the plunge pool out back ....water sound in stereo and continuous !!! helpful to sleep but non stop there was no water for a brief time but Putu fixed it it was a little tired ...has seen better days as a resort ....wood grit on the floor from the ceiling decay ....rising damp causing paint to bubble and peel a very narrow dark laneway down to the gate leading to the rooms not including breakfast in the rate made it expensive compared to similar properties in the area
the bed ...the pillows ...towels ...all great hot water pressure and heat very good solitude / peaceful ...only 3 rooms Putu the cleaner was the only staff member I met ...she was great

NetherlandsNot 45 m2, its rather <20 m2 indoor. The rest is outdoors. The room is not as spacious as listed in booking. Also the airco is not working too well because the room is ventilated by al sorts of openings. When we confronted the owner with these observations, she just ignored the reality of it.
Friendly at first and very central spot with a nice garden. The one star is to balance out earlier reviews and because we paid for 4 nights although we used 1.

United StatesI would appreciate a little more light for evening read.
There were so many great things about the White Lotus Oasis that I loved. I especially enjoyed the lower chalet- the porch swing, the waterfall, outside tea and a nice way to start an easy day, yet close to everything so one could walk a few steps away for a great coffee, a meal, shopping or nearby laundry service. I loved that this place had filtered water for the entire location, very fast WiFi and close to the center of town, but far away to hear the lovely waterfall sound instead of barking dogs and traffic. Sandy, the host is a wonderful human with a vision for this space. I loved her Tarot Card reading and meditation class and she is so helpful. I really appreciated her suggestions, and at one point, she picked up my laundry and held my hand taking me to the doctors during an eye infection. There are 3 rooms here and I thought it would be the perfect place for a girlfriend, sister retreat- with tarot card readings and all!
