How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe staff were great and friendly - full with hospitality. The breakfast was great. And congratulations for 10th anniversary of the hotel.
This was our third time staying in this hotel. The first two times were fantastic but this time was a great disappointment. The room smells disgusting-mainly from the drainage and rubbish. The floor is falling apart with at least 5 nails sticking out and catching on our feet to bleed. The plastic kettle was out of date and had electrical smell came out when using so we had to stop boiling water because we don’t want to burn the hotel down. The hotel needs some attention to details for significant improvements.

Verified reviewThe STAFF was OVERALL EXCEPTIONAL AND VERY ATTENTIVE AT ALL TIMES!!!! Very friendly front desk staff, in the restaurant senses and the Japanese, including the spa staffing!!!! It was a very pleasant stay and OVERALL at the end of stay, on the last day staff was VERY ATTENTIVE and ensured we departed back home the best way possible, 5 out of 5 stars!!!
I would only say some of the towels have a bad odor to them HOWEVER, call front desk to replace and IMMEDIATELY fresh towels were brought to room. The ones needed to be replaced and taken out of rotation look yellowish already.

Verified reviewI loved the staff and my suite was huge just like the picture. The location in jimbaran is also pretty good I took a scooter everywhere because I was a solo traveler so it was perfect for me. I loved the roof top pool and their restaurant had some great food too. There is also food available through the gojek app and it comes super quick! A lot of restaurants and salons in the area and I also went to the hotel salon! It was amazing. I loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Very quiet and tucked away so you can rest but easy to get to activities and beaches.
I wish the gym had heavier weights and more machines but it wasn’t a big deal.

Verified reviewEverything you need for a short stay! The rooftop pool is spectacular with beautiful sunsets, food drinks and the music sessions on Fridays. So beautiful!!! The pool downstairs is deep and long, perfect for laps! Beds were big and comfortable! Breakfast buffet was ok but the food in Angelique cafe was delicious! Overall a great experience and a great value for money
Quite a dated hotel, the first impression is not great when you step into the property but then you grow to like it really. Towels are old and not nice, could be way better if they changed that at least. The area is very local, nothing exciting around and it’s a 10-min walk to the beach.

Verified reviewI liked the people there. Everyone is really friendly and trying to help when needed. And the suit was super comfortable. My kids enjoyed the breakfast too pancakes and eggs… I almost forgot the bathtub. What an amazing design and size. Really beautiful and well designed room .
Its on a busy road when we you start driving or walking you have to be really careful. The bathroom was sometimes smelly but I found it a problem everywhere in Bali. I just blocked the sinks and closed the toilet lid and helped a lot.

Verified reviewI liked the food variations in the breakfast buffet. The room was so nice and clean, and the bed was enormously spacious. All of the staff were very accomodating and helpful in all ways.
Everything was nice; it’s just that the bathroom bowl had a very weak flush. Also the sink was maybe a bit clogged, cos it had a very very slow flow of draining water.

Room was really worn, dirty and unmaintained. The shower door made a big bang noise when opening/closing, floor panels had random screws holding them down from lifting, all tap/shower fittings were heavily worn, kids area was worn.
