Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaQuite a dated hotel, the first impression is not great when you step into the property but then you grow to like it really. Towels are old and not nice, could be way better if they changed that at least. The area is very local, nothing exciting around and it’s a 10-min walk to the beach.
Everything you need for a short stay! The rooftop pool is spectacular with beautiful sunsets, food drinks and the music sessions on Fridays. So beautiful!!! The pool downstairs is deep and long, perfect for laps! Beds were big and comfortable! Breakfast buffet was ok but the food in Angelique cafe was delicious! Overall a great experience and a great value for money

HungaryIts on a busy road when we you start driving or walking you have to be really careful. The bathroom was sometimes smelly but I found it a problem everywhere in Bali. I just blocked the sinks and closed the toilet lid and helped a lot.
I liked the people there. Everyone is really friendly and trying to help when needed. And the suit was super comfortable. My kids enjoyed the breakfast too pancakes and eggs… I almost forgot the bathtub. What an amazing design and size. Really beautiful and well designed room .

United KingdomThere is nothing I disliked. Sure there are some improvements that could be made to bring the decor up to date, since there has probably has been no renovation for around 20 years. Despite this it is immaculately cleaned and is perfectly acceptable.
There is allot to like about this property. I came from a five star hotel on the beach here with low expectation. It was a third of the price, I got a very good deal at £75 for two nights including breakfast. From the first moment the impression was good. The outside of the hotel is attractive with a beautiful water garden. Greeted by smiling security and Inside the staff were very warm and welcoming offering help and advice and checking me in early which was much appreciated. Upon arriving to the room again I was pleasantly surprised. It was a big room, an enormous comfortable bed and immaculately clean. The large bathroom was excellent with a decent shower. The hotel is very spacious and peaceful with wide corridors, I had the best sleep here since arriving. The experience in the restaurant for breakfast was equally as pleasant, it was the most relaxed space with no queues or pushy guests which are common place at the usual buffet trough. There are two good pools one which i used briefly on the rooftop and the other at ground level. I don't understand how people would complain about this hotel, it is fantastic. If you get a good deal do not hesitate to book. Yes it is a short walk from the beach down a lane beside the hotel but this was no problem for me. I prefer to stay in hotels like this which are located slightly set back from the touristy areas. There is opportunity to discover more local restaurants and feel the buzz of the town. A big thanks to everyone I met at The Watermark who were so warm and friendly. It has enhanced my experience of Bali.

AustraliaOn a fairly busy road, so you can hear traffic when relaxing pool side. I wouldn’t stay for a week. But 2 days , it didn’t bother me, because it had the things I needed to be satisfied . One thing I avoid on all levels , is rooms without opening windows for fresh air. I panicked when I saw sealed windows. The larger rooms have private balconies around the hotel. I washed and air dried the air con filters myself for peace of mind. They weren’t hideous but l feel better knowing what air I’m breathing in , during sleep. I also left the front door, just slightly ajar with security lock on door. That’s what made me comfortable to stay extra night. There is an outgoing ventilation fan in bathroom that runs quietly at all times though. So they have thought about air flow. And you can hear people walking past the rooms, because hallways aren’t carpeted and they echo. But it wasn’t that often. I just turned the movie channels up.
I had a superior room and the king bed was massive. Loved it. I stayed for one night before fly out the next night at midnight. Wasn’t sure what I was doing the next day. I came there for the pools. The roof top pool I had to myself, but wasn’t long enough for doing my laps. But the ground floor pool was. So I decided to pay for staying the next day so I could relax before fly out. It’s a 10 min walk down an ally to all the fresh seafood on the beach restaurants, which was delightful. Many to choose from . There are 3 mini marts literally out the front at throwing distances. I didn’t know this, but there’s free airport shuttle on departure. It goes every 2 hours. I got the last one out at 10pm on my own, for my 11.55pm flight. It took Exactly 8 minutes to get to airport. It cost me 130k in grab from airport. Probably costs about 50k in grab to airport otherwise. Staff were great. I would stay again. It has everything you need for an airport stay.

AustraliaHotel is dated, but they are doing their best. It's always obvious in the bathrooms. Didn't really use the hotel, can't comment on the facilities. We checked-in, had dinner, crashed and left early the next morning.
Biggest bed in the world! Super comfy beds in a great location, 15 minute walk to Jimbaran Beach and short ride from the airport. We chose to stay here because of convenience (overnight heading to the ferry the next morning) and it was brilliant.
