How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewLocation, cleanness, breakfast and Staff friendliness. Nopa and all members of staff were friendly and supportive.
Small Lizards running in all over the place (Bali’s standard). Swimming pool water was cold most of the time as there was no heating system for the water (could be put in to the advert). Be careful with the pool as it can be too deep for some people ( we were warned on the first day though).

Because the average temperature in Seminyak is around 30 degrees, heating systems are uncommon here and we don’t have that option. Verified reviewThis villa was such a relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Good location to walk to many places in Seminyak. Staff were so friendly and hospitable. The pool was so nice and clean and everything was perfectly maintained.
Tiled floors around near the pool were often slippery when the pool was being used.

Verified reviewWhat a wonderful villa (Lapan). Nopa and Lulu truly made it special for us all. Nopa's hospitality and attention to detail was of the highest standard. Lulu's breakfast was also fantastic, great value and the girls loved her pancakes 🙏 I cannot find any negatives at all, we will definitely be returning. Perfect location and the villa also provided a handbook with tips and recommendations of places to go. Fabulous little extras such as hair products, sun cream and mosquito repellent. Terima Kasih 🙏

For young families, the bedrooms are separated by the pool which you walk across to get between rooms.

Verified reviewFrom the minute we were collected by Mia's driver at the airport, our stay was perfection! The villas are beautiful, spotlessly clean, modern and the staff are amazing and so helpful with everything from transport to laundry to day trips (thank you CaCa, LuLu and Nopa!) The location is great - tucked away from the noise and bustle, but walkable to everything we wanted in Seminyak and only 300 metres to the beachfront. Villa Lapan was perfect for our family of 4 including two teens. The private pool was great and we recommend opting for the inhouse breakfast.

Verified reviewI was so impressed with everything about Vill Mia. The staff, Nopa, Lulu and Mia, were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Nopa arranged taxis for us every morning, and helped us plan our days. While Lulu brought us delicious breakfasts each day, that were so fresh and tasty. We will definitely visit Villa Mia again. It truly was the best, I couldn't fault one single thing.

Nothing, but could do with a full length mirror somewhere and also maybe a bug catcher or repellent for the living area as lots of little bugs hang around the fishes

Most rooms in most villas have full length mirrors in the bedrooms, however Villa Tuju not because we didn't see an ideal spot on the walls when furnishing it. I understand it would have been nice and we will check again whether we can add full length mirrors in the future. We will also check what we can do about the little bugs around the koi pond. We need to be careful with something toxic though because we don't want to hurt the fish and will probably not be able to have the outside areas around the gardens and koi pond completely free of insects.
