Location is somewhat average. It’s a bit tucked away in the bush with a long thin road to access, so if you want to go into town you will definitely need a car or bike. There’s nothing within walking distance except what the villa has to offer. In room massages were 50/50. My partner said his was great, but mine was average. Not a negative towards the villa, but while we stayed here we could see the dolphin boats out in the water. There’s a lot of them and they completely surround the dolphin pods, so if you’re looking for an ethical dolphin watching tour, this is not the location to go.

The view was beautiful, and the environment was calm, natural and peaceful. Staff were all very welcoming, happy to greet us, and helpful. Wifi was good in the room but slow in the restaurant. Food and drinks in the restaurant were pretty good, we tried and liked a variety of the international and local foods. They can also bring it to the room. The view from the restaurant during sunset was amazing. It’s the perfect place to just relax and do nothing. Self sustained so everything you need (restaurant, pool, beach, room, massages) for a lazy stay is within 30 metres of each other. You can book fishing, dolphin, and other tours in reception. I can’t comment on them though as we didn’t do any. Very tasty complimentary drink on arrival.

The food was lovely but they seem to have run out of a few crucial ingredients.

A very relaxing couple of days at the resort. The rooms were really spacious and we all enjoyed the swimming pool. There were various excursions but we decided to sit back and relax.

Everything was great. Just an advice for the owners, if they are holding meeting (just because someone was complaining about mixed orders)with the staff during busy dinner time while they sitting on the table and all the staff standing,just advice to do it in private place it looked disrespectful.

We had a great time at Mayo the staff is amazing so friendly and with great hospitality! The rooms are spacious and clean the pools are great and the garden is beautifully maintained! The food is delicious and the restaurant have a great sunset view. If you want quite and relaxing place i highly recommend Mayo resort! Shout out to the server at the restaurant Arta he is so great and friendly it made our stay more enjoyable!

We had the Garden Studio and it was so spacious with a massive bathroom. Nice decor. It was clean and a comfortable bed. A nice little resort. Restaurant was good too. We had an evening meal which we enjoyed. The included breakfast was excellent. This is a peaceful place to stay and for this price range is good value.

The resort is excellent for people who value peace, quiet, comfort and quality. The only thing that catches the eye with such good quality are worn towels and bed linen. These two elements, not insignificant but have a great impact on the feeling of comfort, because you feel like you are sleeping under unclean bed linen and drying yourself with a dirty towel. Time for a change. Please treat this as a good tip for maintaining the standard. The restaurant needs changes, the prices are too high for the quality of the dishes offered. I still give the resort 10 out of 10 asking for a refresh.

The sand outside the property was a bit of a disappointment but great pool and facilities inside.

We were on a cruise that docked at Celekan Bawang so booked this hotel to use the facilities for the day. It was a great choice, lovely little room, good pool, no issues with food and drink from restaurant. Great friendly and helpful staff. Massage was very good and very reasonably priced. Nothing, just a small suggestion for the host: the rowing boat offered for free rental to guests could be improved by adding the missing oarlock (the metal structure that secures the oar to the boat), making it easier to use.

We had the pleasure of staying at this resort for our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was absolutely stunning – beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. We also loved spending time by the pool, which was clean, well-maintained, and offered a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was another highlight of our stay. The variety and quality of the dishes were outstanding, with a special mention for the local cuisine. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. Beautiful resort located right on the coast with a black volcanic sand beach right in front of the property. Quiet and peaceful area with no crowds. It was easy to find using Google Maps and check-in was smooth. Restaurant on site catered to our every need. They even organised aspe ial New Years Eve party to ring in 2025. Staff are great and very courteous. The resort offers local tours and transportation all over the island at reasonable rates.

This is the first time I'm not disappointed by this kind of accomodations. Mayo Resort is just the perfect location to relax and chill out. Both the accomodations and the restaurant are reasonably priced, the staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are large, spotless and full of light. The food offer is complete and features many vegetarian options. Maybe some dishes are a bit plain but overall everything was good. The beach is clean and just steps away! a nice alternative to the swimming pool.

It’s very quiet and serene. The beach is just steps away from the resort! Great place for silent retreat! No distractions! I would also like to commend the Staff at Mayo! From the front office; to the housekeeping; gardeners are so polite and friendly! You just feel so welcome in their resort! The restaurant staff - Lina; Putu and the team are great! They always greet you cheerfully and serve you with smile despite being short handed in the restaurant! Great team! Thank you for your service! I will be back again if time permit!

It was great weekend. We spend time with family a couple of days, saw dolphins, swimming in the ocean and enjoying our meals from the restaurant. Personal work perfectly, quite atmosphere.
