Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything about this property that we didn’t like. It should be mentioned however, that this property is just outside the main shopping area and is located up a hill with no restaurant available for lunch or evening meals and walking to restaurants isn’t really an option.
This property is really beautiful and tastefully decorated. Stepping into the villa, you come into a communal living area with really comfy sofas and kitchen area. The infinity pool is also on this level with great views over lush green trees all the way to the coast. Our room was 2 flights of stairs down but as the property is situated on the side of a hill, the views from our room were still lovely. Our room was spacious with the comfiest bed we slept on during our travels around Bali. Breakfast is cooked to order by Wayan every morning and is delicious. The staff at this property were really friendly and helpful. They are happy to arrange excursions and also to drive you to and from the local restaurants for a small fee.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast is OK and there is no lunch or dinner options. So you need to go somewhere else to eat. Definitely rent a scooter.
The view from the villa is breathtaking. It is modern and beautiful. Definitely worth staying few nights and just enjoying the view and peaceful surroundings.

absolutely everything. This is one of the top 3 villas in all of Bali. The bathrooms are perfectly clean, the hotel rooms and spaces are beautifully designed, and the staff is direct and helpful. We loved it.

New ZealandDidn't have hot water in our room for most of the stay but thankfully one of the lower level rooms had hot water so the staff let us use this bathroom which was just a little inconvenient. Transportation organised by villa was pricey when we confirmed cost with friends also on the island. Day rate was a little high but short trips very high. We were warned it wasn't as cheap as the mainland but felt this was excessive.
Amazing home with great staff. They went out of their way for us - even jumping on a scooter for a late night ice cream run!

SingaporeJust minor issues to be fixed: sinks were not draining normally and wells up before I’m done washing my face, a few of the wooden planks in the shower room were slime-y, and feels like it needs some scrubbing.
The view from the room was phenomenal. The room was tastefully done and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and good coffee was provided. The staff were all friendly and nice.

United Arab EmiratesI understand it is a rural and tropical location up in the countryside but there was a lot of flies in the open plan kitchen and some in the bedroom too. When we complained they did provide us with fly repellent however.
Stunning views and an amazing pool. Very peaceful location up in the hills overlooking the sea. Felt very private. Comfortable bed and good shower.

SpainI was staying in the lower floor at the second room. I loved having the front yard access to the room, it was a lovely space. However there was not 100% privacy because the curtains of the bathroom (separated from the WC, this had total privacy) were not 100% opaque and anyone passing by could see if I was taking a shower if it was night with the lights on). I think it is important to either add some opaque curtains for when using the shower/bath or/and ensure no one will cross the yard (this happened once and then I was worried so I used the shower with the dim light of the mirror to minimise visibility). This also would help to block sunlight if you want to sleep after sunrise (around 6am) since the door from the bathroom to the room is transparent.
The villa is amazing with beautiful views and a great design. The staff is helpful and kind (thanks Komang!). The place is really peaceful. Sunset from the swimming pool is amazing. They provide filtered water for free and a limited variety of soft drinks that you can buy. Breakfast was good with a lot of options, including good coffee. If you have food allergies let them know before you get there (at least 2days before I would say) because we didn’t know and they didn’t have non-dairy milk. We had to buy soy milk at a convenience store (in general the options in this matter are limited in Nusa Penida since they import everything from Bali). They have a driver service to pick you up from the port for 150K IRP (15-20min drive, depending on traffic). We didn’t know but it would have been a good option. We used it in our way back (by the way the port facilities are terrible, there is no paved way to get in or off the boat at least with Axe Stone fast boat, so it was tough to get through with the suitcase, take a backpack and travel light). However I recommend moving around in scooter as the taxi/driver prices in Nusa Penida are ridiculously expensive.
