At first, I was sceptical, as the road to the villa was not really convincing. But the second we stepped into the villa, all my doubts vanished. The view was breathtakingly beautiful. Service was great, staff are wonderful, helpful and polite. Too bad I can't jump into the pool because of the caterpillars, but I still enjoy the rest of it. Breakfast is also good. Great place if you want to chill and enjoy beautiful nature view

This is a fantastic spot well away from the hustle and bustle and endless tourists of Bali. The swimming pool is small but great, with plenty of space for sun loungers in the sun or shade. The menu is very small, but delicious. I ate dinner here every night: all Indonesian, home-cooked and super healthy and cheap. The breakfast is also great in the morning: home-baked bread, homemade jam, eggs of your choice and a fresh fruit platter :) There are three dogs on the property who were all lovely and made me feel safe at night after the staff go home. The nearest supermarket was a 15-minute walk down the mountain, and the beach was also around 15 minutes walking away. If you're looking for some real peace and quiet, this is the place for you. WiFi is also very good in the main villa area, so working here was easy (downloads, etc).

I had a really lovely stay here, but if you are looking to be around some cafes/shops/other people, then it will not be for you. If you have a scooter, it's great to explore, with Amed only 1 hour away and Mt Batur around 1.5 hours away (I arranged a sunrise trip to Mt Batur during my stay). I stayed in the wooden hut, which was beautiful but quite prone to wildlife (spiders, geckos, etc). If you don't like that, then I would request to stay in a room within the villa itself. A little note for improvement: There could have been a bit more information provided about the area and various points of interest. Just a couple of sheets added to the welcome guide would be fine. Also, with arranging taxis etc., expect to pay a little more than usual, as it's such a remote area, so there are few choices (no grab, etc.).

I was looking for an escape from the crowds and this was the perfect spot. The pool, the view from the pool, the staff and the accommodation were all excellent.

Nothing , it was quite cut off without transport , but I wanted that.

The property is at a beautiful location. You have the perfect view and it’s quite far from the main road which makes it a really quiet place. Still, it is not too far of a walk or scooter ride to get to the seaside. The staff is very nice and helps you with all your questions. The breakfast is delicious! The homemade jam is the best! We would definitely come back.

What a lovely stay at Cantik villa, Bapak and his sister where kind, hospitable and incredibly caring. Even when I asked for a little extra they where quick and generous. The environment is very beautiful, the facilities luxurious. And the doggies escorted me to my little house. Oh the incredible view! Just the place to be.

Nothing actually.. If I do have to name something it's a bit further from the beach then I initially expected.

The villa was beautiful - lovely view and lots of comfy places to sit. Gede and the whole team were very warm, friendly, and accommodating. We also absolutely loved the dogs who came to keep us company! The manager was also really flexible and helped us find a hospital late at night when my partner was unwell. We are very grateful! Lovely place to stay and would hugely recommend it if you fancy a few days relaxing and chilled.

This place is an absolute gem. The tranquility of the surroundings, the giant Infiniti pool, the staff, the food and most of all the ahhh moments as the stress just melts off you. Wish I could stay longer, and will definitely be back on my next travels here in Bali.

    That I couldn’t stay longer.

Villa Cantik was certainly befitting of its name. It has the feel of a secluded five-star resort without the exorbitant price tag. There were thoughtful touches like a refreshing welcome drink on arrival, fresh frangipani flowers on the towels and pillows and basic mini-bars in the rooms. Gede, the wonderful manager, made me breakfast daily with fresh homemade bread and jam! My room and ensuite were huge and the bed was so comfortable. The pool with the stunning view was so relaxing to use and I drifted between the sun lounges and beanbags. The only bad thing is having to leave eventually - I could have stayed forever. I will be back!

Not super close to anything, but this was a nice get away from the hustle and bustle!

This villa is exceptional. We were the only ones there who rented a room so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were received by the lovely manager and 3 of the most beautiful dogs Paul, Lucy and Boy. We were immediately blown away by the beauty of the whole villa. The room we got was super spacious and the bathroom attached to it was so big as well. The bed was really comfy too. The pool is massive, nice and cool and overlooking the palm trees and the sea. There were comfy day beds and a beautiful high nook with a massive bean bag to chill out on. Food was delicious. With breakfast we got fresh bread rolls and toasted bread. Butter and jam was included too, as well as fresh watermelon juice and coffee. As well we got a fruit platter. You can also order lunch/dinner there too which I bet is amazing. We never tried it ourselves. The staff is really kind and helpful and the manager immediately arrange scooters for us as we requested. The villa is located quite high so it's really secluded from everything but with the scooter you can get anywhere within 15/20 minutes. Warung Seni, which the manager recommended was within a 20 minute drive and the food was super delicious. The absolute cherry on top were definitely the dogs. I fell in love with Lucy and I miss her already. I highly recommend staying at this place.

Taxi driver Widi that was arranged by the manager was kind but made a 1 hour drive into 1,5. He filmed me without consent and messaged me a couple of times afterwards which made me quite uncomfortable.
