Absolutely loved my stay at ViaVia Guesthouse in Yogyakarta! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming — they really made me feel at home. Everything was super clean, and the pool and backyard are absolutely beautiful, perfect for relaxing. On top the room had a back door straight to the pool and garden. The atmosphere was so peaceful and charming, and I loved that they offer food and drinks right on site. Would definitely come back!

Perfect little oasis in Yogyakarta. The room was clean and very comfy. The bathroom was a bit outdated, but clean. The highlight is the cozy garden with pool and the lovely and helpful staff. He guesthouse itself is located in a quiet side street, but everything is in walking distance. They also helped us organizing a scooter rental and yoga classes.

Loved the super friendly staff, the great pool and garden, delicious breakfasts. Comfortable room. Very clean facilities.

Our room was a little small, but honestly not a problem for us as it was well described before we booked it.

Amazing stay! The guesthouse offers a lovely ambiance, friendly staff, and excellent facilities—perfect for a relaxing getaway. I stayed 4 nights & will come back again if re-visit the city. Loved this guest house! The staff are just amazing, rooms are so clean & comfy (I was in a private double with AC and slept like a baby), great location in a quiet alleyway but so close to nice bars & restaurants, gorgeous little pool. Did some great tours through their travel company. I hope to go back!

Many good things to say about this guesthouse (location, cleanliness, comfort and so on), but above all: what a lovely, caring and helpful staff that made the four of us (couple + 4 yr. old daughter + friend) feel at home. Highly recommended!

The staff here were SO lovely! We were the only guests staying at the time, so it was very quiet. The location is good with restaurants nearby, we also got a discount at the other ViaVia properties. The bed was comfortable but shower was a little basic. Overall it was really lovely!

Amazing hostel with the best staff I could have wished for. I started with 3 nights and ended up staying 12 nights. First in a private room, later on in the dorm. When I arrived, I had an infection in my leg and the staff were driving with me directly to the clinic and supporting me with the medical system in Indonesia. Later on I had to go for surgery to the hospital and they never let me alone and were taking care of me all the time. Besides this special treatment, the hostel had a super nice common area (nicer than in the pictures!) with some chilled sitting/laying possibilities, my favourite place was the hammock in the shadow. In the common area you will (not always, but in the morning and afternoon) find other travellers (families, couples, as well as solo travellers). For those, who want to do Yoga: yoga mats are available. The showers have immediately hot water and a really strong water pressure. (One disadvantage: no mobile shower head) The beds are comfortable, mattress is rather hard than soft (one of the reasons we were staying here, as my friend couldn’t sleep on the super soft bed in our first accommodation, where you can feel the frame and the springs). Towels are provided in all room types, so also in the dorm. And can be changed on request or they change it, if you stay longer. The breakfast is amazing: every day it is changing, so you don’t get bored. If you request the day before, you can also get Indonesian breakfast. This is what I did, so I ate yellow rice or soup or rice porridge for breakfast. The breakfast always consists out of the main plate + coffee or tea + fruit juice or fruit platter. Water to refill your bottles is available for a little fee. The reception supports you in all belongings, and as they are partners with the Viavia travel agency, you can easily book tours or workshops at the front desk.

This guesthouse match with my expectations. Room very clean, comfort, but need improvement for the air conditioner because didn't work properly or not too cold. This guesthouse also had various menu for breakfast and they change the menu everyday with delicious taste, for me, the menu here is fried rice. They had backyard with swimming pool. Overall good and very recommended place if you need guesthouse for backpacking with friends or family. This location very strategic nearby with some of famous cafe or restaurant like Tempo Gelato, ViaVia Bakery, etc and you can walk to go there.

The air conditioner in my room didn't work properly, not too cold. You should close the toilet door properly and waiting for too long until you feel cold, need improvement for the air conditioner in the room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The graden is beautiful.

We extended our stay twice ! Very good hotel offering everything you need : we rented a scooter, laundry service was excellent, we did a cooking class with Lala, the backyard is green and chill. The street is very quiet so you can have a good sleep. The hotel is close to nice stores, restaurants, warungs and markets. They also have a restaurant and the selection of vegetarian options is great. In general the food is healthy and delicious. We enjoyed bread in their bakery. The staff is friendly, smiling and helpful. It’s a safe, chill and easy-going place. In general we felt in love with Jogja ! Highly recommended to stay in this city few days!

Very very friendly and helpful stuff, we had a lot of interesting chats with them and we’ll miss them! Hope to see you again some day :-)

Garbage cans in the bathroom musst be emptied more often as you has to put the toilet paper inside and then it is really not nice if that is completly full for more then one day
