BelgiumAs the hotel is run and taken care of by men, the cleanliness of the rooms, cutlery and general feeling of the place wasn’t the best. Small details like dirty door handles, key rings, soap dispensers all add to the feel of everything being a bit grubby. The food also isn’t very good. But for location and wonderful service I would highly recommend it
The location was fantastic and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Nothing was ever too much to ask.

United KingdomIt all needs just a bit of care, attention and maintenance. The pool is dirty. Inbetween the huts is unkempt and dirty with broken furniture. The beach patio has sparse furniture which some is broken and dirty.
The colour scheme for the huts is nice. The bar is pretty.

United KingdomOn some nights during our stay there was a band on in one of the neighbouring bars - nothing that the hosts can do about that but something to bear in mind if you're after an early night. The band stopped between 10 and 10:30pm.
Such a lovely place to stay on the less busy north coast of Gili Air. The bungalows are a good size with lovely shower room with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff (especially Eki and Amaq Iwal) are brilliant and made our stay extra special. The restaurant looks out over the sea and is an amazing location to have breakfast, which we thought was tasty and filling.

AustraliaThe breakfast coupe be a little better. And could possibly add coffee creamer to the room :) The only downside is that it is a 20 min walk from the harbour. Wouldn’t take the horse as it is too sad. Would be good if there was a ‘shuttle boat’ that could take you around to the harbour and back. However it is a very easy and nice walk without luggage!
The decor of the hotel was very nice!! It is beachfront with very nice seating area on the beach. The boys at the hotel are the best! Very caring and funny! They work hard and look after the guests! The welcome ice tea was a bonus!! Thank you! The rooms are very clean, daily cleaning & new towels. Ryan does an excellent job! Provide beach towels, bike rental, you can refill water bottles and the staff are always there if you need anything. Next door is a mini mart for anytbing you need. We extended one more night!

Belgium- rooms need additional furniture for clothes. There was only a little open coat hanger insufficient to put clothes - it would be nice to provide water bottles to guests. We had that in all hotels in Indonesia - there should be a system to change towels without need to ask for it - breakfast: good to have more offer. Basic breakfast too limited

Thank you to Eki in particular who took great care of us and always asked if we needed anything in the room or help with sightseeing, transfer etc. - location in front of beautiful sea - very comfortable sun beds - availability of bikes at the hotel at good rate - clean rooms - nice bathroom and comfortable beds

AustriaFollowing our recent stay at Playa Bonita Beach Hotel & Beach Club in Gili Air, I would like to share my honest feedback so hopefully management listens to it from more and more guests and makes changes so that clients don’t feel like we did after staying there. While we appreciated the location, the accommodation and service unfortunately did not meet the standard or quality promised at booking – nor the price point we paid. We paid €1,200 for two bungalows for one week (€170/night total for our family of four). Based on the actual quality and condition of the bungalows, I believe a fair price would have been €70/night total (€500 for the week). Tuia is based on proving from Ubud, where we stayed for the first week of our vacation. This is why I was requesting a refund - however, I never received a response. Key issues we experienced included: • Breakfast service extremely slow (often over 30-45 mins) and frequent misunderstandings with orders. • Gluten-free alternatives promised in advance but not provided during our stay. • Multiple safety and maintenance issues in the bungalows: dangerous exposed screws (caused injury), broken shower handle, falling curtains, large gaps allowing insects/animals in, no mosquito nets, : big space next to doors, etc no safe, and no furniture for clothing. • Overall condition of the property is poorly maintained and not as advertised. I believe it’s important for you as the owner to know this feedback.

The restaurant was not operating on the property as described. Our shower burnt us was only hot water. My sons shower not working for 2 whole days. We were promised a refund and continued to be lied to about when it would come through. And still no refund. Do not stay here.

United StatesTLDR : black mold everywhere, left immediately, promised full refund, then scammed out of $900 USD. I booked this property for 14 nights, but my stay turned into an absolute nightmare! Upon arrival, I found no water at all in the unit, TOXIC BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE (on the walls, bathroom, and even covering the mattress), and the furniture was completely unacceptable—cheap, stained, and barely usable. The wardrobe, for example, was a flimsy plastic and cloth structure with large brown stains. The condition of this place was worse than a cheap hostel and definitely not worth the price! I am severely allergic to mold and have respiratory issues, so staying here was not an option. The staff initially seemed understanding of my situation, especially considering my long booking, and assured me I would receive a full refund. They even helped arrange my transportation to another location and promised I’d receive confirmation of the refund later that evening. However, a few days later, I received an inappropriate and unprofessional text saying I had to come back because the owner decided not to refund me! This was completely outrageous—THE ENTIRE SITUATION WAS A BLATANT SCAM! They ultimately scammed me out of $900 USD for a property that is COMPLETELY UNINHABITABLE. There are far better places on Gili Air for the same price, and far cheaper places with much higher quality. AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS! The owner is a SCAMMER, and the conditions are downright hazardous due to the pervasive BLACK MOLD.
Literally nothing, stay away. I think the property changed ownership so all positive reviews are fully inaccurate.

AustraliaThis place is a dream come true! It’s nestled on north of the island, where it is a lot quieter than the rest of the island. The beach is just across the cute cottages where you can spend all day sunbathing as they provide sun loungers! They’ve got drinks and food too which is great and next to our favourite place for food- Raw which we highly recommend :) there are bikes to rent for a very reasonable price and breakfast included too! Whether it’s cocktails or a fresh coconut they’ve got everything :) all the staff were super friendly and always wanting to help which really made the experience even better! Just want to add a little note for future tourists when visiting the island- the people on this island depend on you and your tourism(outside the owners of the properties which are all western) so please don’t forget to tip, the amount you spend on a coffee at home is worth a week of food for them. Please be nice to those selling who might disturb your peace while you try and sunbathe but remember they are also trying to survive here too (don’t worry, it’s not a constant hassling either) I think very often we easily dismiss people but like it says in the airport- “take the time to be kind” :) Again, thank you for such a beautiful stay we hope to come back soon!
