How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe room was great, nice space, well made up, great shower and bath and a clean room. At the final day they left a nice drawing of good night, perfect. Great hospitality and a lot and high quality food! With several activities available. Our massage turned out to be a bad one and they scratched it from our bill which was very professional.

Verified reviewThe hotel area with the pool overlooking the jungle the wooden bungalows makes it like a very authentic Ubud experience.
The staff is very kind and friendly. However, the staff isn’t very proactive. There is no one checking on the guests at the pool making sure everyone has something to drink, a towel and feels comfortable. When ordering food or drinks to the pool / room no one proactively comes to pick up the dishes.

Verified reviewThe lodge with private pool was clean, comfortable, and extremely nice. The staff was very accommodating and helped with the scooter, massages, and guidance for places to visit. They helped with our luggage, picked us up when we were lost, and helped with planning like a late night massage and other accommodations to go above and beyond. Even outside of Ubud, they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend the place to anyone who wants to be able to relax and have a great experience while at the resort.
The surrounding location is not very exciting. So be ready to eat at the restaurant or find a place further away to find a restaurant.

Verified reviewGreat service at reception, we could book all tours directly from the hotel and could arrange them flexibly even at the same day and decide on destinations. The pool with the junge room was also nice and in general everything is new and looked after.
Quality of the room cleaning, place usage of the room ( Much area of the room was just empty) and low variability at the hotel breakfast after a couple of days, location a bit war away from Ubud center.

Verified reviewIt was our first trip to Bali and we didn't know what to expect. We tried this amazing villas and we can't describe how happy we were. The villas are 'hidden' at the end of a small road in a village in a 'jungle of flowers and plants'. That is what we were looking for. To be away from crowdy, loud places with many tourists. The first impression was at the arrival. We heard that Balinesians are very friendly, but we didn't expect this kind of friendliness. We had a private villa with a private pool. The villa was amazing. Spacious, king size bed, outdoor shower. The stuff always asked us if we need something and they were always ready to help us, give us some advice on trips, where to go, what to see, what is the best option to travel. A huge thanks to the stuff, who made sure that we felt like home.

Grab drivers found it difficult to find the hotel. Although the are signs for the hotel possibly more obvious ones could be put up from the main road. FYI ask for pick-up/drop-off from the restaurant instead.

Verified reviewWe stayed here for 3 nights. It was the best stay. The people were the nicest you could ever expect. They organised trips and activities that made us experience the best of Ubud and help us make the best of our time. We especially recommend the sunrise trekking, which was a very special activity with the most amazing view on the island from mount Batur. We also took a Balinese cooking class which was so much fun to do with the nice people from the hotel. A full day tour allowed us to visit all the "go to" places with a personal tour guide for the entire day. The hotel restaurant (Wajik) is definitely a place to go as well, the food is delicious and the hospitality is amazing. The room was beautiful, with a view of the jungle and a bathtub on the terrace. The infinity pool has the same amazing jungle view. Special thanks to Anta and Tutik, who were the best hosts you could expect. Definitely recommend coming here if you would like to check out the Ubud area!

Verified reviewWonderful hotel! The room was amazing and very spacious, the outdoor shower was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful - one morning we had to get up quite early and a take-away breakfast was prepared for us (thank you Eva!). Swimming in the warm pool under the night sky watching the stars was very relaxing experience I encourage anyone to try. Trying the hotel restaurant is a must, delicious breakfasts and fantastic dinners (I particularly enjoyed the aged beef!). Location is perfect with plenty of attraction around the Ubud - we highly recommend this place!

Verified reviewI had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything feels very new and exceptionally clean. I stayed in a villa with a private swimming pool — the area was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing. While it’s a bit away from the city center, the quiet atmosphere more than makes up for it. The value for money is outstanding. The staff truly go above and beyond — they’re always friendly, helpful, and make sure you feel taken care of. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the beautiful picture they arranged on my bed while I was out. It really shows how much they care about your experience. The food is also great, and the fact that they offer all-day breakfast is a big plus. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming stay. Would definitely come back
