5-star hospitality. My family and I spent only two nights at the villa but in such a short time we felt so much loved by Nyoman and Made. The wonderful couple who took care of the villa and any sort of needs we could have had. The villa is stunning large bedroom, swimming pool facing the jungle. We would love to extend the stay but it could not be possible

Umu Mupu is a lovely place in a still authentic part of Bali. Nyoman and Made are dedicated hosts, always trying to help, preparing nice meals and easy to communicate with. The two rooms are very spacious and modern, the pool has a nice view. We could easily rent a big scooter to explore the area and have a look in the nearby village, where people and kids greeted us kindly. Also Nyoman invited us in his house, which was really kind. He also drove us to our next destination. If you look for serenity and peace, this is the place.

Secluded and serene, this villa is a hidden gem. You have the whole place to yourself, including two standalone houses with open-concept bathrooms. The kitchen and dining area faces the small, neighbouring rice fields. Evenings are cool and surprisingly hardly any mosquitos. The breakfast meals were amazing.

Uma Mupu Retreat felt like home from the very first moment. Nyoman, the host, kindly arranged my transfer from the previous accommodation and even took me to my next one — all at a very reasonable price. He and his wife, Made, are a wonderful couple: warm, discreet, and always present in a way that makes your stay as comfortable and pampering as you wish. This place is a true gem, perfect for anyone who loves being immersed in nature. The villa is nestled between a small jungle and rice fields, creating a serene and vibrant atmosphere. Waking up to the songs of tropical birds and seeing the full moon reflected in the pool were just some of the magical moments I experienced. You also have the option to enjoy Made’s delicious home-cooked meals — and with that, the word "retreat" truly lives up to its name. Nyoman is happy to accompany you to nearby (and even slightly farther) places. I could speak more about the place and my kind hosts, but I let you discover and experience it on your own.

Leaving the place. I loved both the place and my wonderful hosts. The only thing I would do differently next time? I’d stay longer :) and in that case, rent a scooter to further explore the beautiful surroundings also on my own.

The service was incredible. Everything we needed was cared for. There was nothing to complain about. I definitely recommend Uma Mupu to everyone. Special thanks to Nyoman and the others for their friendliness, enthusiasm and hospitality.

Best stay ever. We had a good time, the people, animals the view, the personal care. I can go on but you have to experience it by yourself. Nyoman and Madie really made us feel like royalties, helping out and advising us on everything. We wish we could stay here longer.

Everything during our stay was amazing! It started with a great welcome from Nyoman and Madee, a very nice couple who were really accommodating. The villa is very well designed and clean, right in the middle of the rice fields and integrated in its environment. We felt very connected with nature there, it was great to hear the sound of the animals during the night, enjoy the fireflies.. Madee cooked for us amazing breakfasts and diners, we highly recommend it! We also had a great tour with Nyoman around the region and discovered many things about the Balinese culture. We wish we could have stayed longer and can only recommend this place! We hope that we can meet again with Nyoman and Madee!

We spent 3 nights of our Honeymoon in Ubud. The place is super comfy ! Its managed by a very gentle man called "Nyoman" this dude was the best among all we've met in our trip to Bali! He was super friendly, helpful, & professional. Even his wife Madé was super nice and she prepared some awesome food -live in the kitchen- for me and my wife. The place is in the middle of nature nothing much around to disturb your stay. Its not in the middle of ubud by any means yet if u have a car or a bike its a matter of a mid drive to the heart of the city. Nyoman ! U made our stay perfect thanks a lot brother.

Some minor comments .. the light sources in the outdoor need to increase since at night its considered the only source of light around due to the fact ure in the middle of nature all around ... The 2nd thing is not a big issue but you need to know and understand you will hear so many sounds at night of birds, frogs .. etc so you need to be ok with that [keeping in mind the place is super safe] so u don't have to worry about it

The property in reallity looks even better than the pictures. The location is the best possible one, if you plan to explore the island. The hosts are incredible - they met us at the airport, drove us to the villa, arranged the breakfasts&dinners in the villa, based on our meal preferences and the food was amazing!!! They can arrange a scooter for you, if you want to explore the counrtryside by yourself, or can drive you across the island with an airconditioned car and provide you with full guidance. You don't need to worry about anything and just relax and enjoy! Whatever you may need during your stay, the owner is just a WhatsApp message away and will be happy to assist. I requested a Balineese massage and the terapist just came to the villa :) The view from the villa is one in a kind! The water in the pool is clean and warm and you can enjoy the sounds of the nature, while relaxing in the yard. We have been in Bali many times, but this accomodation beats all of the rest with its unique location, hospitality, cleanliness and atmosphere!!! And all this provided at a very reasonable prices. Thank you, Nyoman, Made and the girls for your great hospitality!

Everything was amazing, by far the BEST accommodation we booked in Indonesia. Nyoman and Made are incredible hosts, they do there best to make the stay perfect for their guests. It’s a true haven of peace, so peaceful. I hope to stay there again as soon as possible

The location is breathtaking, the villa staff is very friendly! Had the best advice on places to visit and the cooking of the private chef (available at a very reasonable surcharge) was just perfect. Rooms are modern and very clean. We loved every minute of it, already mis the place! Can't recommend this villa enough, you need to visit this place!

Nothing, the place is an active rice field, meaning you need to be in luck for the rice to look pretty. In our case it was just harvested.

This is a wonderful private villa in a remote and tranquil area operated by a lovely and kind balinese couple. Nyoman and Made made sure that our stay was one of the most memorable along our trip. Made’s cooking skills might be some of the best you can find on the island. Also make sure to ask Nyoman for a tour of the Ubud countryside. He was born and raised in the village and knows everything from nice coffee plantations to the best temples to visit. I recommend renting a scooter to get around as the distances in Bali countryside can be very long. Our daughter enjoyed the playing in the pool and I was able to use the second room as office. The entire place is exceptionally clean and looked after very well by Nyoman. We will definitely come back because they made us feel so welcomed that we felt as if we would have a second home in Bali. Thanks for everything!

The property is situated in a small village surrounded by beautiful nature. You really experience everyday Bali and relax at the awesome swimming pool. The rooms are very nicely decorated, comfortable and clean.
