Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaIt would be good to have access to some hot water in the afternoon. It can be tricky if you don’t have a motorcicle but I like walking and the host is always available to help.
The place is in the rice terraces! It’s walking distance from main atracciones. It’s ideal for people who prefer to relax and connect with nature. You don’t need to book a guide if you prefer to just walk to the places that are nearby. My host Nesa was really kind and helpful at all times. Eri was available over the phone always for anything I needed

GermanyI just loved my stay with Eri and his staff! They were very friendly, answered all questions, showed me around and I got to see the local temples and the holy spring as well as of course the amazing waterfalls close by. It was just the perfect location: quick walk to the water slide and quick walk to the entrance gates for the amazing waterfalls Sekumpul and Fiji. Even three nice little warungs are in short walking distance. Perfect!

IndonesiaThe ride there is a bit challenging so would recommend parking in the main road and getting transport if not experienced rider.
Very nice spot, right in the rice paddies with lots to see nearby - swimming spots, waterfalls, walks The family that runs it are very nice and helpful

GermanyThe location couldn't be more beautiful. You are between the rice fields without neighbours and to sekumpul it's walkable which is so perfect. Staying here the night before you visit sekumpul is the best way to see it. You can go early in the morning without other people and it's just magical. They even bring you dinner on request. And the host is just the friendliest person ever. Every tourist should experience this. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

AustraliaNothing I didn’t like but I Would just recommend bringing extra cash as the location is a-bit remote. Also definitely need a motorbike to get around the place as it is tucked away and abit of a walk if you’re going up and down constantly.😊✌🏼can get cold at night so recommend bringing a jacket tooo :)
Very beautiful stay. If your looking to be one with nature, I would recommend this place😸🙏🌿🧚🏼The host Ayu is super welcoming, friendly and helpful with any needs/requests👌🏼Place is very comfortable, relaxing and is near waterfalls with beautiful rice fields views. 🌾🏔️🥥

SpainThere are some insects nearby, although they are harmless. But this is normal, we are in the mountains and there is a lot of vegetation! It's not really a problem
If you want to see the waterfalls comfortably, I recommend staying here. The family treated me very well, helping me with everything I needed and they also came for me to Ubud at a good price (The area is very remote for taxis and cars). The bed had cloth for mosquitoes

Perfect remote location and super friendly staff (specifically Ayu) that helped us a lot! We loved our stay.

NorwayThis little cottage is placed so beautifully in a rice field with palms all around. It is located very close to the Fiji and Sekumpul waterfalls, which are stunning. Feels like a movie. From the parking you have to walk 5min to the cottage. We were welcomed by the sweetest girl, Ayu, who kindly helped with our luggage on a scooter. She also explained the tracks to the waterfalls and gave suggestions to do the water slides. We were served nice light local breakfast with delicious fresh fruit. The room is clean and cozy. Overall amazing stay, Real jungle experience !🌴

AustraliaI can’t say that it was really a problem, but it was a bit hard to find the road to go to the homestay but you just need to ask a couple of locals and they will tell you how to go, people in that villa are super nice and welcoming.
It’s super close from the waterfalls. We had some days of rain but the view from the balcony of the room make it worth the stay! Ayu, the girl that works there, it’s super nice and has a great ser service! She will help you with everything g that you need, including if one day you are lazy to go out to buy food, she can buy it for you and bring it to you! The owner was super nice too, making sure everything was going ok.

AustraliaHot water was fairly tepid, but that's ok.
Staying here has been an absolute pleasure and a highlight of my trip to Bali. Set in the mountains and rice fields, this place is so tranquil and serene. Eri the owner has been so attentive and helpful the entire stay. His family have been so lovely as well, offering their services as guides, drivers and cooks. So close to Sekumpul and Fiji Waterfalls (walking distance). There's a lovely warung and coffee house five minutes walk away also. Eri was wonderful in organising my transport to and from Ubud. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this stay to anyone wishing to explore the natural majesty of this part of Bali. Thank you Eri!

United KingdomThere were few minor recommendations I shared with the host such as adding a mosquito net etc, but generally, had no major issues. I would recommend.
Great location for visiting the waterfalls (Sekumpul/Fiji) which were around 30 mins walk away (quite steep steps). The cabin itself is quite remotely located (2 hrs + from Canggu, way up in the hills) but there’s a certain charm to it, especially as you wake up in the morning surrounded by nature. All staff inc the driver (Eka) and tour guide (Yoga) were family members of the host, Eri, and all friendly and helpful. We were served light Balinese breakfast (the only place in Bali where we had this.) Dinner/lunch is also available. Take note, a short steep bike ride through the forest is required to reach the cabin from the parking area. We got picked up by the host. Eri & Eka were both so helpful organising pick-ups and drop-offs for us and our entire group of friends during our 2 weeks stay in Bali. Would highly recommend them.

RomaniaBe aware that you will be staying in the jungle so you have to be comfortable with insects and animals. We had a frog jumping from the ceiling and some ants on the bed.
If you want to visit the Sekumpul waterfalls in the morning, this is the perfect place for you. The cabin is located around 5 minutes from the entrance (where the stairs start) and close to the water slide as well. The host can help you with a guide at a very good price (we recommend getting a guide as the path to the waterfalls is not very obvious). The house is pretty remote, but there is a warung close by (Fiji Warung) and the host can help with meals as well, we had indonesian dinner delivered to our room.

PolandWhat a lovely cottage surrounded by ricefields! Very friendly and helpful owner, easy contact via Whatsapp, walking distance to Sekumpul Waterfall (Fiji Warung on the way), 10 minutes walking from parking area (not possible to park car next to cottage), owner helps with baggage transport from parking, breakfast included in the price (very good but too little for adult), possibility to rent a motorbike in good price, clean, very fresh towels and beddings, no AC but surprisingly it is not needed. Keep in mind you can meet some frogs, spiders, etc. as this cottage is located in the middle of nature which is great! :)

GermanyThe homestay lies within the rice terrace and offers a fantastic view. The breakfast consisted of simple but very tasty indonesian food including many fruits. The owner and his niece a very welcoming and helpful hosts who will do anything to offer you a great stay. If you want to visit the waterfalls, you can reach them early in the morning by foot and without having to deal with all the local guides. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the accommodation to everyone who seeks for a relaxing time in the nature.
