Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAs others have reviewed, there is a lot of noise from music at a nearby bar, but that is not the fault of Dimuwa and although I'm normally a very light sleeper, I found that it didn't disturb me very much. The faucet and the water shutoff valve in the bathroom both leaked but it didn't affect my ability to use the facilities.
The location is fantastic, off of a little side street and in the heart of the city near lots of restaurants, shops, spas, and the Monkey Forest. Krishna was wonderful and accommodating. The courtyard area is very beautiful and the patio areas were nice to enjoy in the morning. The air-conditioning worked well and my room was very comfortable. The shower had good pressure and the water got nice and hot. Although I declined a full breakfast, Krishna brought tea and fruit and it was lovely and fresh. The room was made up nicely with fresh flowers on the desk every single day.

GermanyCentral location is also associated with touristic activities, which could be loud until midnight. For us it was not an issue as we were part of these activities, but if you have small children or tend to go sleep before midnight it could be an issue.
Very familiar atmosphere. In central Ubud close to Monkey Forest (maybe not necessary to visit it as monkeys are coming to you in the morning hours :). Tasty fresh breakfast (could be adopted to you needs - discuss this with the host). Bungalows are build as a small temple in a magic tropical garden.

ItalyThe staff has been really kind and made us feel like home. Krisna, the owner son helped us a lot being our driver and guide for 4 full days. He showed us the most attractive places in Ubud, but also shared with us many local inaspective spots of the sorrounding. We become immediately friends, it was sad to leave them. We strongly recomand Dimuwa Ubud❤️

BelgiumEverything was great. If I have to pick something it would be the music and noise from the nearby street at night (until 11pm). But it was no problem for us personally! If you do mind, they provide earplugs.
The accommodation was very clean and spacious. Airco, tv (with netflix), amenities provided, cute balcony etc. Located in the centre of Ubud so close to most places. Owner was super friendly, as well as his son who helped out tremendously with activities.

SingaporeThere was background noise from the nearby pubs but that's the trade-off for being somewhere so accessible. Also I didn't mind it, I could sleep just fine as early as 10pm.
I managed to have all that I needed, complete with a simple yet satisfying breakfast every day. There are only three rooms, two normal and one deluxe. The deluxe looks bigger than in the photos. It is run by a very warm-hearted man who, when he's in always asks about your day and ensures all your needs are taken care of. He also makes your breakfast by hand. Everything here seems to be the earnest work of this man and his son and they do it well. Transport to and from the place is offered by the owner's son, who also doubles up as a driver you can engage separately during your trip. It was a shame I got ill before I made it there, but it was still a very quiet and serene place to heal.

Delicious breakfast everyday! Puja was a great host and couldn’t recommend him enough, he’s a hard working man and you can see he takes pride in his home!

AustraliaAs others have mentioned the music from the nearby bar at night can be heard but it stops around 11pm so not a big issue. Otherwise a great place to stay.
Great little place to stay right in a central part of Ubud. The family run business is a quiet little sanctuary that was clean and relaxing. Close to restaurants, shops, monkey forest and other attractions of Ubud.

FinlandVery close to the Ubud main roads, restaurants and shops. But still enough away from the noice of the Monkey Forest. Two nearby bars play music until midnight but it didn’t bother us at all. The host was very kind and cleaned our room without asking while we were out and about. Would stay here again! Good value for money. Sidenote: Warung Garasi is on the same road, one of the best warungs in this area! Recommend trying that for a local food experience. :)

MaltaThere were ants in the room, not a major problem, especially in Ubud, still they can find a solution :) Also you may want to grab earplugs if you are a light sleeper as they are close to many live music bars

BelgiumThe location: there was noise every evening, not just the weekend, from the live music in the surrounding bars. Ear plugs are a must until they stop at 23h. The rooms are spartan, the sheets wafer thin feeling old and the towels worn to a thread.
The location: close to the monkey forest (5min) and the Ubud palace (15min). The price: it's a cheap no frills guesthouse The staff: very friendly The garden: some lush greenery and immaculately maintained The mattress. If the owner is reading, I hope they put a protective cover so it won't be ruined in no-time
