How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location is great overall but specific location is at the end of an alley kinda road and turns to a bit dirt road which is fine its just a bit dark and further down the road
Good place to stay, all facilities you need, nice pool, chilled place, less than 5 minute walk to beach

The kitchen in the common area, we use just to wash some cups and then from the floor we saw some water coming out and was smelling terrible. I didn't understand well. If you don't use the sink in the kitchen area shared, is ok this place but if you expect to cook and everything, I wouldn't recommend.
The location was amazing, and the room was too. The pool looks really nice but I couldn't use because I was injured from an accident, but it looked really cool! I could stay again at this place.

- bathroom was not clean, mold on the walls in the bathroom and smelly - like a lot of places in Indonesia, the place is just not very well maintained. A bit of cleaning would definitely add value

All good
There were a communal little kitchen and even that we didn’t cook anything it was nice to make a cup of tea and meet people. AC was quiet and worked well. Toilet was a bit weird layout but it was ok. They had a good size shower caddy there so you could keep your toiletries in the bathroom. Guest house was quite near the beach and near 3 different yoga schools. There were lots of shopping options near by.

For the price we paid everything was fine but don't expect much, meaning: no toiletries, no tv, no mini fridge in room, holes in towels. This is not the place for a first time traveler, for us, it was perfect.
The staff was generous with great advice, solutions, tips and insiders info. The room was immaculate clean, good ac and bed was comfortable. Close to Batu Bolong beach and plenty of restaurants and shops just steps away.

I had a confirmed reservation, but when I arrived at the property, I was told they were overbooked and there was no room for me. The staff didn’t offer any real help or alternative accommodation, leaving me stranded in an unfamiliar city with no place to stay. This was extremely stressful and completely unacceptable. I booked in advance to avoid exactly this kind of situation. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—poor organization and zero responsibility for their mistake. Still waiting for my money back

The property is extremely rundown. There were stains on the sheets. And foul smells in the room.

There was no where I could store my bag for a few days (safely) while I went away for a wedding.
Very close to the beach and restaurants. Very clean, the aircon was amazing. Staff very friendly.

This place is exceptional for the price you pay. The location could not be any better. You are a 3 minute walk to the beach. Right at your doorstep are all the shops and restaurants. It is down a little alley so very peaceful and across from one of the few rice fields left in Canggu. Staff are very friendly. They work hard all day everyday to keep the place really clean and tidy. Always fresh water. You can get your room cleaned and fresh towels and toilet rol if you ask. Great air con. Cosy bed. Hot shower. Very clean. This is an excellent place to stay.

Very clean, great AC, hot water and good pressure. Great location. Walkable to everything. Staff was extremely helpful with late checkin, extending stay, and providing extra pillows, etc.
