Rooms have a smell sometimes, sheets was holed, we saw cockroach in bathroom, breakfast is included but don’t be hungry in the morning.

really close to the mosque so when they prayed over the speaker it was super loud as if it was in the room, and the shower spurted water all over the bathroom when turned on

super nice and friendly staff, location was good as it was only a 5 min walk to the main road along the sea, when i arrived there were some ants in the bed so i let the staff now and they fixed it immediately and changed the sheets and the ants were not a problem after that.

The property was exactly as described on the website. A quiet bungalow away from the hustle and bustle of Gili T. Bike rental is also available directly at reception. The island calls for prayer very early in the morning, so remember to bring earplugs!

Pool area small, no hot water

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, room clean, basic but all you need. Hot water didn’t work, cold showers only. Pool quite small and in small area. The breakfast which is included is great, four options with coffee or tea. Bike rental available for good price and they kindly serviced and cleaned my bike without asking. Played a lot of music but didn’t really bother us, quite party-ish.

The photos are old. Not a good representation of the property. The pool bean bags were horribly mouldy. The air con is pants. The sheets were so old and shabby they were actually threadbare. The towels have seen better days

It's was simple cheap accommodation. No frills. The staff were lovely, access to tea and coffee during the day a bonus. Breakfast included. Expect basic and you won't be disappointed.

Following can be improved upon: There is only 1 light right in the middle of the room, they should have atleast 1 more smaller light in case you need just the dim light. Shower in the washroom with hot water would be great although I never felt the need of hot water as the weather was hot.

Tropical House is a value home stay with location close to the main harbour of Gili Trawangan. The Rooms are basic and are equipped with Air Conditioner, bed was comfortable they also placed an extra bed for my daughter, and attached washroom is there. I stayed here with my wife and daughter for 2 nights and the best part about the stay was that the hosts Alwyn and his friends were superb. On the 2nd eve I got the opportunity to sit with them while I was sipping a beer and they asked me to join in their Friday celebration. This group of guys were great company they offered me the drinks and were very courteous. Later I met them again partying out and we all met like old pals, that was the highlight of my stay there. The property is not as new as showing in the pics however the quality of the stay was great. They have a small pool right outside the room and a basic bar at the entry point. They also provide bikes on rental and can also help with booking ferry tickets or the island tour. Breakfast menu was limited however it was fresh and tasty. Recommended for future stay for all budget travellers.

Noisy homestay across road until midnight. Had trouble finding the place on Google maps as Google maps calls it Tropical House. I had trouble with the booking. Booking.com booking app is broken. Extremely hard to choose more than one night (close to impossible) and if achieved, the App only books one night (even if multi day chosen). Looks llike I have to use a different OTA and moe my Villa to a different OTA also.

I didn’t like how misleading the room booking was, there were many options selected that it says the rooms are eg; interconnecting, fridge, plus others, but this is not the case. The rooms are VERY basic. They have a bed and a shelf and a couple of hooks. It doesn’t mention anywhere that the upstairs rooms all have outdoor showers and toilets and there is no hot water. The stairs going up to the upstairs room also need some better/safer fixing up.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was good and location was great. Pool was great as well!

The staff started off very friendly when we arrived, but once they got money out of us for a snorkel tour, their attitude soon changed and they became very grumpy and short with us. They also only accept cash, which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for some. The toilet is also located outside under the stars, so in the day it can become very hot to do your business! As the room was a hut which wasn’t properly sealed off, the AC took ages to begin to cool us down.

The location was really good, and the free breakfast (though small) was very convenient. The bed was comfy and the room spacious.

It has no generators and water torrents. So when the electricity is down, there will be no electricity and water. You have to bring your own soap and shampoo since they don't provide them.

The location is just perfect. You can find a minimarket next door, only a couple of minutes to the nearest beach, restaurants, coffee shops and other services. It provides free drinking water for their guests
