Maybe it was because we were just the two of us, but I didn’t feel completely safe. The house does have a door, but with part of it being so open, it felt like anyone could walk in. Also, the hygiene could be improved, the toilet didn’t feel fresh, and there were quite a few cockroaches.

This place is truly ideal if you’re traveling with a family or a group, everything is set up for that! A nice kitchen, comfortable beds, a cozy shared space, and a small pool to enjoy. The location is perfect.

Lots of traffic on the main roads but quiet in the back streets.

Loved the roofed, outdoor seating area, pool and different shower options. Three bedroms with each their double bed and AC/fan. Had a very relaxing time

Very good value for money. For background, we live on a small rural property in Australia where we pump our own water and treat our own waste. I’ve also built a few sea container houses. Strange way to start a review but I think it’s relevant. We’re staying here right now as I write this review. We found Trava on booking.com It is as per the photos. Communication with the management team was excellent before our arrival and onwards. The location is good. It’s quiet and close enough to everything by Grab or Gojek. You can’t get directly to the villa by car as the final approach is via a small laneway. They can arrange parking off site at a neighbour’s house. We always gave Grab the address of a shop at the end of the street. We’ve never had an issue getting to and from. The accommodation itself is retro industrial. I like the vibe. It’s open plan which allows breezes through the living area. The bedrooms all have a fan and aircon. There are two bathrooms. One has hot water and the other cold only. No issues with the hot water. The showers are a little slippery and there is nowhere to put your soap etc. They need some hooks to hang your clothes while you shower. The two toilets are fine. If you haven’t used a hand shower (hand held bidet) before, you should. Management asks you not to flush toilet paper but place it in a bin provided. If you use the hand shower, thoroughly, you won’t have an issue. I’m a pretty big, hairy bloke. So is my wife (just checking if you’re still reading). While we don’t have an issue with this setup because we have similar at our property, some might not like it. The kitchen is laid out like a traditional Indo kitchen. It has everything you need. Management provide quite a bit of free food when you arrive (noodles etc). It was a nice surprise. The TV is upstairs hanging from the roof. You watch it from the mezzanine. I’d really like to see a rail at the end of the mezzanine instead of warning tape on the floor.

Super noisy with proximity to mosks, gecko sounds and neighbor conversations. Couldn’t sleep through the night. There were cockroaches.

The house was in a quiet neighborhood with friendly people around. It was in a good location and the pool was perfect to cool down. The hosts made us a very sweet welcome basket with fresh fruit. We loved the house and will definitely book it again when we come to Yogya.

Very nice modern and stylish property. Owner communicated via Whatsapp but was very responsive and took care of everything, we thus felt quite cared for. Pool, which was actually a large basin, was very comfortable to cool down after a hot and stuffy day in Yogya. The kitchen allows you to cook which is nice with some supermarkets around the corner. However, quite close by is Alun-alun Kidul where lots of food stalls are set up each night and there is a vibrant atmosphere among younger locals, somewhat away from the touristy areas of Malioboro. Owner provides on-line guides for tours, entertainment venues, restaurants and other places of use or interest (such as shops where you can buy tourist sim-cards).
