How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We had a great stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Everything felt very cozy and comfortable. They even organized for us the Ijen tour and kindly lent us jackets for the trip. Unfortunately, we had to leave a night earlier than planned due to a change in our itinerary, but we really would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommended!

The room was without AC which we were aware of, so it was a bit hot but nothing too bad.
This is by far the best place we stayed at in Indonesia. It’s super clean, the position is perfect and the staff is awesome!! Titan organised the tour to Ijen for us at a great price and it was the best. She also brought us breakfast at the table outside our room every morning!! Even when we came back from the trip to Ijen at 9am, so past breakfast time, we were surprised by a delicious fried rice at our door!! Truly an amazing service, will recommend to everyone!! Titan also helped us organize the transport from Banyuwangy to Cemoro Lawang. Perfect experience, thank you so much!!

The family who run this guesthouse are very friendly and helpful! I arrived at Banyuwangi bus station and the owner of the guesthouse picked me up from there free of charge. As the volcano Ijen, the purpose of my visit, was unfortunately closed at short notice due to an earthquake, the guesthouse lent me a bicycle in perfect condition free of charge. This allowed me to explore the surrounding area. The daughter of the guesthouse speaks fluent English. She gave me excellent advice for my next stop, the Bromo volcano! She booked the necessary train ticket to Probolinggo for me online and also gave me tips on where to stay overnight! The father also drove me to the railway station in Banyuwangi the next morning free of charge. The room was very clean and cosy. I can highly recommend this guesthouse!

A little further from the ferry pier than we had hoped for but that s because the city is very stretched. So nothing special was disliked

The hosts were very friendly and helping. They speak very good english. The hotel is very clean and has a nice little courtyard. The breakfast is great.

Everything. Every member of the family was so generous and helping. They came to pick us up at 5am, let us early check-in, and gave us a lot of nice attention. They organized our Ijen Volcano trip amazingly good. The breakfast was really nice. They also organized our transfer to Bali and brung us to the bus station for a cheap price. The room was pretty dark, but in this case, it was perfect as we needed to sleep during the day, and it was really quiet.

The property was located near warungs, atm, and a supermarket. The stuff was extremely friendly and helpful :). We really enjoyed our time at Titans Greenhouse and I will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Banyuwangi

Everything was great!
The staff were the best! Very accommodating and welcoming. Very secure location and quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed and great AC unit.

Location is really convenient. The staff is exceptional! Willing to help even before you ask! So nice and flexible, they have really good advice. I strongly recommend and I thanks a lot the workers of Titan's Green house!

Lovely hosts! The mama in the family was nothing but a big smile and heartfelt laughter! Their daughter was very helpful and forthcoming. And spoke excellent english. They all did their best to make my stay a good one. They had a motorbike I could rent, since getting about in Banjuwangi on foot can be challenging. On my day of departure, they drove me to the harbour and safely got me settled on the right bus towards my next destination. Thank you

It didn't have a sink or hot water but I coped with this really easily
The family are so lovely and helpful. I often had long chats with Titan which made me feel at home. They organised the Ijan trip and made all of my other activities really easy by finding out prices for me (without me asking) or informing me of the best way to get to wherever I wanted to go. You can rent a good quality scooter for a very good price. The breakfast is different everyday and tasty. There are restaurants nearby or you can order a grab. The room is comfortable and there's just a very friendly atmosphere at the guesthouse. I really enjoyed staying here

Nothing. Kitchen and freeze need some cleaning, but it was ok for us. We could make our coffee, tea and vegetable soup.
Relaxed and quiet place, great hosts, nice beds and good airco. Room was clean. Hosts were always available for support and to tell us all about Indonesia and Banyuwangi area. Very good value for money. The host can arrange tours to for example IJen, Baluran and snorkeling tours, prices are very acceptable. And they have bycicles you can use to explore the area.

Much like the other reviews, the hospitality we recieved during our stay was absolutely outstanding! Titan helped us in every way possible, even a few days after we had left! The complimentary transfer to the train station was the icing on the cake!
