The host was unhelpful at best - sat playing on his phone all day on the couch in the common area and barely acknowledged us when we came in and out. The common area was clearly old and was just swept - clearly not mopped in a long time and the stairs to the upstairs room where we were had hair and dirt which is very unpleasant in a culture where you don’t wear shoes inside.

Our room was very clean and the breakfast of nasi goreng each morning was good. The location is great and the it’s a great value. Book a room with a private bathroom if you are going to stay here. We tried to upgrade once we arrived and were told we’d have to book a completely new room without a refund for the other one.

Bed was sooo comfy, we were sad to leave it. Room was very spacious. Water refill station and a fridge outside our room. Hot water in shower. Breakfast was brought to outside our room each morning! Staff helped us to hire a bike. Very quiet and chilled, would recommend :)

The breakfast was very delicious, the host very helpful and in general it’s a very beautiful place to stay. He also allowed us to check out 2 hours later with no cost. I strongly recommend this homestay.

Too many big ants in my breakfast (nasi goreng) and no stand by staff. It difficults to laundry and no room cleaning service. The amenities only soap and towel. I didn't get any shampoo, toothpaste, and slipper.

Slight miscommunication regarding the laundry, which was quickly and adequately resolved. As constructive feedback, I think that a sign at reception with laundry prices would be helpful for customers. That way there is no confusion regarding prices.

Huge room that was really clean, nice towels and bed sheets. The included breakfast was very nice, either nasi goreng or mee goreng with a cup of tea. The host was friendly and very receptive to feedback which is a great trait. The location was quite close to all the main attractions in Yogyakarta, you can walk to malioboro in about 30 to 40 minutes. Water dispenser and a communal fridge included. During our 3 nights, we had no bugs in the room at all, no ants! We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended to another night

The shared bathroom was really unclean and small with only a couple of hooks. You are given a toilet roll and soap but no where to put them in the bathroom. The room is small and our bulb went out and so we had to sit in darkness in the evening and the duvet didn’t have any sheet on it so I’m not sure whether it’s washed between each visit. The building was a bit messy generally.

Location is close to coffee shops and restaurants.
