Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ColombiaIf you are a light sleeper like me, its not that great because the family has a lot of small kids that start playing and screaming very early, making a lot of noise. We stayed 7 nights and our room was never cleaned (i didn't ask for it to be cleaned because i assumed at some point they would just do it or ask us, but never happened); so the room was a bit dirty after a couple of days and it stayed like that our entire stay. But everything else was great!
The family is really nice, all staff is very kind. Its really well located, walking distance to any place inside the city center. Bed was very comfortable.

We stayed for 10 nights at Tirta Sari House, and it was absolutely amazing. Even though we arrived late, Jro welcomed us with a smile and open heart. Immaculate room & bathroom, and the nicest family. Wonderful place to stay, very close (walking distance) to shops, restaurants, bars, laundry, and the centre of Ubud. You really get a taste of Ubud and balinese culture. Child friendly as host and her family lives on the premises. Wifi is great. Breakfast was delicious and plenty in the heat & humidity. Kettle is in the room with tea & coffee. No air con or fridge, however grocery store is 2 min walk up or down the road 🙂 Highly recommend Tirta Sari House. 100% safe for solo travellers.

United KingdomThe room could really do with AC, it was too stuffy to stay in during the day. The ceiling fan is great, but AC would be even better.
Uniie and her family were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless and very nice inside. Good hot shower, and a great little location away from the hubbub whilst still very close to town. I really enjoyed the little slice of traditional Balinese family life I got to see in their home.

We spent 10 nights at Tirta Sari House. Even though we arrived late at night, Jro welcomed us with a kind smile and open heart. The room is perfect size for a couple, with a wardrobe and small desk with kettle, tea & coffee. Immaculate clean, just like the bathroom. Jro and her extended family lives on the property, few doors down, so children are playing, giggling and you might wake up to infectious laughter some mornings. 🙂 Breakfast is/was delicious and always on time of request. The location is absolutely fantastic, everything in walkung distance. Restaurants, Warungs, Bars, Cafes, shops, chemist all within 8-10minutes of walk. Please note that there is no fridge (coffee/tea do taste nice black) and no aircon. Ceiling fan is the only cooling equipment, however its good enough.

PortugalThe best place I could have chosen to stay. A very friendly and welcoming environment, they made me feel completely part of the family and at home. They were always very concerned about how I was or if I needed anything. The room is fantastic, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is large. It also has a mini balcony overlooking the family temple that fills the soul when having breakfast with the sound of birds in the background. I am very grateful to this family who welcomed me so warmly every day. ❤️ I highly recommend it! I promise you won't regret it! Suksama Jro 🙏✨

ChinaThere are flowers on the bed, which is a welcome and a blessing, thank you to the landlord, but the flowers brought bugs on the bed, it crawled on my skin, please just put the flowers on the table
There is sunlight, no humidity, there are napkins, there is a bedroom trash can, and there is a kettle. It is very convenient if you have a stomachache and want to drink hot tea.
