Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomYou have to open a gate which triggers the dogs to bark. They aren’t aggressive but it’s quite loud and intimidating.
Staff were really friendly, cute dogs, good, central location.

AustraliaI wish there was a pool and the location is noisy. Accommodation is located near a ride so you will hear people screaming outside your room window from time to time, you will also hear loud music, some nights not every night, up until around 11:30pm and because the accommodation is attached to locals home there is lots of dog barking. So if your looking for a quiet location this is definitely not the option for you.
The staff were so lovely and kind. The room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Great location central to the major shopping and restaurants.

SingaporeThere’s a smell when using the bidet. But clears away after spraying the water away for a moment. Other than that everything’s good!
Spacious room. Guard dogs that doesn’t bite nor get too close to you (but still cute). The top floor room 1 has one of the best views and moments for sunsets! The area is walkable to a scooter rental area, a bunch of warungs (food stalls), many types of bars and even a emergency room / clinic.

United KingdomWater pressure in shower a little low and only luke warm, birds are in their cages directly outside the rooms and they sing loudly early morning so I recommend you bring earplugs if you’re not a deep sleeper
Really friendly staff, room was great and fairly spacious, bed comfortable. The property/building itself was beautiful built around a miniature temple. Good location, everything is within walking distance

GermanyThe dogs sometimes got loud at night when someone came in or went out the property, unfortunately that can be a problem for light sleepers. (there was also a noisy bird/chicken but we are not sure if it only comes and goes or is always there)

GermanyBeing in the center close Luigi’s also goes with 1-2 evenings per week on the weekend where the music is quite loud until midnight. The 3 little dogs barked quite a lot one night, otherwise they’re adorable/not causing issues. The birds in cages were sometimes chirping quite early in the morning so wouldn’t sleep longer than 8-9am. The bathroom is containing the toilet, the shower and the sink in the same little room so you can’t avoid getting the toilets wet when showering, and the ground is wet way later on so you get your feet wet every time you want to go to toilets or use the sink and need to dry them :/ These are little things that you get used to, overall my stay was very good!
I stayed over a week there :) The family hosting was incredibly welcoming and kind, we chilled outside in the garden many times together, they taught me a bunch of Bahasa Indonesian words, made me taste several local food, even sang together! :D The place is very well located close to everything in Canggu, in the street with all the best restaurants. I stayed in one of the small rooms downstairs, which was convenient and probably better protected from Canggu’s on-going noise than the upstairs rooms. It was great to wake up and open the doors to this cute courtyard with small temples and lot of plants! The bed was very comfortable and the room clean :)

NetherlandsIt can be a little loud at night(dogs/music), what is normal for Canggu, so bring ear plugs for best sleep.
This place is truly a hidden treasure. The price is incredibly affordable, yet the quality and comfort are far beyond what you’d expect. The room is super relaxed, and the bed… wow! High, with a soft mattress and pillows that feel absolutely heavenly. I stayed in the upstairs room, and it was totally worth it: amazing views over Canggu and the town. The air conditioning works perfectly, and you’ll have complete privacy with your own entrance. The family who runs it is extremely kind, and there are also cute little dogs around the house that make it even cozier. From your balcony, you overlook a beautiful garden, which creates such a peaceful vibe. The location is just perfect: within five minutes you’re at the beach, and literally within one minute’s walk you’ll find Warung Sika – super cheap and absolutely delicious food.
