Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThere was a small issue with the door not sealing completely, which allowed a few little visitors like mosquitoes (even though there is a mosquito net) and we even found a gecko inside. The walls are also a bit thin so you can hear all of your neighbors. But it didn’t significantly affect our experience, and the overall atmosphere more than made up for it.
We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel! The room was clean, nicely decorated, and felt very comfortable throughout our visit. One of the biggest highlights was definitely the breakfast. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which added a personal touch that we really appreciated.

United KingdomI admit I am a light sleeper, we had country noises at 7:30. There is some building work around the property which starts at 9, we were there all day so don’t know how long it lasted. It didn’t bother us and should be finished soon. If in dour send a messenger and ask them point blank. A sign for The village Sandat should be out next to the stop sign on Jalan sandat.
The property is beautiful, very clean, fresh linen, rooms spotless. Breakfast alway at time you wanted and perfect. 4 min walk to first of many restaurants. 4 min walk from taxi drop off with jalan sandat (one track road) or Duana Sari, a 4 min walk to left of property. If it’s dark, ask a staff member to help you.

New ZealandThere was no filtered water refill - I would have been prepared to pay for refilling my water bottle, in an effort to reduce single use plastics. Some of the pathway foliage needs trimming as it's encroaching on the very small access-way.
It was the perfect place to fall sick at. After 5 weeks in Bali, I succumbed to a respiratory virus, and recuperated here. The bed was comfortable, the room small but pleasantly decorated, very clean, great shower, excellent a/c, and good WIFI. I loved that it was in walking distance to Ubud centre, but peacefully located amongst nature.

AustraliaThe construction noise and the roosters but I got used to the roosters. It’s normal if you want to stay around you can just go back to sleep after they wake you lol. The pool could’ve been cleaned everyday as when it rained I didn’t go in because of some insects floating. There should be a time for cleaning / and or a sign if you don’t want it. I was trying to work / film and would be interrupted.
Hi the breakfast options were good and basic.Delivered to the table outside your room & you can write what time you prefer. The location you have to walk about 4 mins but if you tell the hotel in advance they will meet you and take your luggage so all good. The pool was lovely too the highlight. And I loved the balcony room I had the view was pretty.

New ZealandWe arrived late at night and was unaware the walk from the car was about 100M. With our bags in the dark it was a bit hard. How ever the lovely staff came to meet us and help with our bags. Best to have data to message the staff to come meet you This wasn't a negative. Just a hint for others staying there.
The room was nice and clean with great air conditioning. The staff were very helpful with our bags.

LithuaniaIt was a little bit hard to find at first (as the property is located off the main road and 5min walk through palm field), but luckily staff was easy to reach and able to meet us and walk to the property. Also, breakfast portion was not the biggest - while it was enough for us, we were hungry quite soon after, but still it doesn’t change the fact that we had a great stay and would come again.
Spacious and modern and clean room/bathroom (looked much newer than in photos, so we were pleasantly surprised), quiet location, friendly staff, great value, tasty breakfast included. We would recommend.

United KingdomLittle negatives but didn't affect stay and for price one cannot complain about much....... The pool water feature was on and off through the night so a little disturbing. Bathrooms rather a lot of limescale and room musty smell. Staff not on site that often but available on watts app and would come to site if needed.
10/15 mins walk to ubud. Check directions as not directly accessible by car (3 mins walk to car drop off or direct walk/moped acess) Pool good to cool off Great price
