Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyMy stay at The Soko was just perfect. The hotel is very new and very well set, starting from the marvellous Balinese roof that cover the Lobby and dining area: beside beauty, it offer an optimal climate also for working, as I had to do during my stay. The pool is just fantastic with its dark grey tones and its lengths which invite pleasant dives. The graden is also very well kept daily offering a very pleasant environment. My room, pool level with private terrace was just perfect. Very private inside, but also offering immediate jump to the main pool and garden. The design is very sleek and it makes your stay a pleasure. The restaurant offer a very good breakfast, and also a la carte menu along all day until dinner. Last but not least, I would like to thank all the staff, and particularly Eka, Citra and Joni, for their professionalism and kindness which make you fell always welcome. ps the large safebox in the room host easily a big pc together with your valuable (very well thought!). In my next trip to Bali, the Soko will be my first choice.

SpainWe couldn’t use the pool because it was busy, sometimes people even left their towels while they went to their rooms My only advice would be to provide better quality hairdryer :) Take into account that you would need to rent a scooter or a taxi to move around - although is close to everything
The place is brand new, beautiful and modern decoration. Loved how they had flowers and plants around the place, also the showers in the room were very nice. I would like to recognize the quality of the food and the kind staff that they have. Really loved it! ❤️ They also helped us renting a scooter to move around.

AustraliaThe shower head had a little bit of a problem with pressure, and some more comfortable pillows would be great, but besides this, the accomodation was so lovely.
Overall we loved our stay here, the property is so beautiful. We stayed for 4 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. The rooms are lovely and stepping outside straight to the pool was perfect for wanting to unwind and relax.

NetherlandsWe had the family room which comes without a musquito net. With some electronic devices as Musquito repellent we did not have any issues. Although we really like open windows, we do want to turn a light on in the evening and be able to relax.
The staff was beyond what you can expect. Extremely helpful and playing with our kids.

United StatesWould love a full length mirror and an electric kettle to make hot water for teas. Also, there was an extremely strong moth ball scent in our bathroom. We had to locate and remove them. No big deal!
We loved our stay at the Soko! This will be our go-to accommodation when in Uluwatu area. Our room was amazing and spotlessly clean. Loved that they provided drinking water in a huge glass jar daily.

SpainPillows were too hard, would love softer pillows next time… Location was a little bit difficult to get to / from ‘a pied’.
The ambiance and interiors were exceptional. Quiet, tranquil, zen like space with an extremely personalised service. Staff were professional, helpful, happy and friendly. Food was super high end ! Watermelon feta lemongrass and nut salad blew my mind! Fresh coconuts, peanut sate nasi goreng - all incredible.

TurkeyWonderful Stay at The Soko Bali We had a great experience staying at The Soko Bali in Uluwatu. Although the hotel is located in an area with some ongoing construction, it’s one of the rare places in Bali where you don’t hear any construction noise in the room — which made our stay really relaxing. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and the staff were extremely warm and welcoming. They always did their best to help us with anything we needed. We originally planned to stay for just 1 or 2 nights but ended up staying for 4 nights because we enjoyed it so much. A special thanks to Darma, who was always ready to help and communicated with us so well he really made our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful and friendly place to stay in Uluwatu!

United KingdomThe location is a little out the way, and the infrastructure around the area doesn’t make it very easy to explore as the paths/roads are really bad. You need a bike here! There was abit of an odd smell in my room but nothing too off-putting.
The general atmosphere is super relaxing, and it just nice to look at. I loved to just chill here as it’s fairly quiet and away from the commotion. The staff are amazing and attentive, Citra is the best! I would stay here again

NetherlandsWatch out with the doorhandles to the toilet and to the outside shower because they are very close to the wall and your fingers can get stuck. Once you know how to safely open the doors it is not a problem anymore.
The staff. They go our of their way to help you out. We had a late flight and we could make use of the premises (sanitary, kitchen, swimmingpool, shower) after checking out.

United KingdomThe surrounding roads were rough - like, real rough. Like - get a monster truck and you’ll be alright rough. The bathroom and room were honestly exceptional however there was an unusual smell coming from the toilet. Everything else was just perfect for our last few days in Bali.
The decor, atmosphere and staff - always so welcoming happy to help with any requests, day or night. It has a very tranquil vibe and is one of our fave places to have stayed.
