Exceptional stay at The Royal Purnama – pure Balinese magic! Our stay at The Royal Purnama Luxury Adults Only was absolutely unforgettable. The spacious and cozy villa, beautifully designed in traditional Balinese style, immediately made us feel at home. We were mesmerized by the powerful ocean just a few steps away, and we truly enjoyed long walks along the shore with its unique black volcanic sand — a rare and beautiful sight. The morning yoga sessions were a highlight, especially thanks to the serene location of the yoga space. Everything about the resort felt carefully curated and deeply relaxing. The staff were always warm, welcoming, and attentive. Afternoon tea was a delightful daily ritual, and the evening programs — including a private cinema experience for two — made our stay even more special. A very special thank you to the General Manager, Barry, whose professionalism, kindness, and genuine passion for hospitality left a lasting impression. It’s clear he puts his heart into everything he does, and it truly elevates the entire guest experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious escape in Bali.

Breakfast was absolutely amazing but some work could be done on dinner. Extremely overcooked chicken and fish and lacking flavor with the ribs. A good marinade would help that.

Location on a beautiful black sand beach. Great if you are looking to get away from the busy areas, meaning not walkable to central locations but not a far drive to Sanur Beach restaurants and shops.

- Hotel is quiet far from the attractions - A/c didn’t work well, so most night we slept without blankets taking in consideration that there was mosquitoes around us . -bathroom and shower room was opened directly to the swimming pool and garden without any door ,Which allowed the entry of lizards and Centipede insects, it was really difficult especially at night as they enter under the doors Into the room were we are sleeping. There was no variety in breakfast. It would have been better if it was a buffet.

I rarely struggle to find room for improvement in a hotel but for this one, I truly cannot find anything to say.

We had originally booked a room with Jacuzzi but when we were checking in, as we were having the welcome drink, the manager met us himself and surprised us with an upgrade to a private pool villa as were honeymooners and there was availability. They took us by golf car to the villa which was breathtaking from the entrance. Being a frequent traveller in 5-star hotels and having stayed in 7 other hotels in Bali, the level of attention to detail, amenities, service and room design of this hotel is UNPARALLELED. Absolutely recommended!!

Maybe the location a bit far away from the shops, but being far also makes the place quite and nice to stay in. There was another room above the Vila. Sometimes I can here the footsteps of the visitor

Everything in this hotel has been carefully thought of (architecture & decorations, employees, services and comfort). From my arrival, I felt very welcomed (by the security guard and then, the receptionist). My room was better than I was hoping for, the bed was comfy, the pool lovely, the pool was big. Coffee and fresh fruits were offered, and that was a lovely surprise. The food at the restaurant is absolutely exquisite and of high standards (plus generous portion!) I can even compare the desert quality to the ones back home in France (earl grey chocolate mousse... divine!) I've also tried Indian, and western dishes, and all were magnificent. On top of all of these, there is a great pool, shade for your walk from the lobby and room to the pool/restaurant area, the cocktails from the bar are excellent, and the new pool bar (which also welcomes locals) is huge and offers a nice ocean view! There is not one single thing I haven't enjoyed during my stay, from the soft music played in the pool/garden area to the Hatha yoga class in the morning to the way the security guard smiled and welcomed me upon arrival. This hotel is outstanding and so are every single employee working here. Thank you for everything!

Dinner a little disappointing. Music on repeat and then dancing display which made a romantic dinner difficult which is a shame for an adults only resort. Very impressive resort but you are pretty much stuck there. Beach either side dirty. Watch out for service charge and taxes on dinner menu! Wine very expensive. Combined these make for a costly meal!

Room and private pool lovely. Staff attentive and friendly. Design of resort is beautiful. Great breakfast. Great for a night or two.
