How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewSmall haven, immaculately maintained. Beautiful staff. Excellent communication before arrival and during stay. Helpful in organizing temple visit. Plus, they granted our requests for extra pillows and ice cubes, thank you! Great location, right across entrance to beach (day ticket 15000 Rupiah/day). Eateries and shops close. Room (double room with terrace) very clean. We did not experience any noise issues and did not need the provided ear plugs (even though am an extremely light sleeper) Open bathroom beautiful (when it rains, the shower part gets wet), no bugs - three towels per person, toiletries included body lotion and conditioner, so lovely. Free water, tea, coffee all day until 10 pm including icemd cappuccino , heaven. Ice cubes can also be requested. Breakfast was delicious as others have written - there's no buffet, but three courses are offered (e.g. crepes, omelet and fruits), plus hot beverages (including iced cappuccino) and gyic. It is a pricey place (for Bali especially), but it was a great stay with five-star service.
Suggestions, not critique- maybe add: A shelf under mirror in bathroom and one under TV . A waste basket in the bedroom. And in the bathroom, where the small step is, a color stripe as a warning. For breakfast, maybe offer some choices for vegans (two of the three courses consist of eggs).

Verified reviewWe loved everything about this property, especially the staff. Agus was wonderful every day at breakfast. Rita, the owner was so gracious in explaining so many things about local culture and practices. The rest of the team was always so accommodating and lovely to engage with. The pool was lovely to come home to or to wake up to. The breakfast was exceptional as was the location. It was our little oasis in Padang Padang. We even doubled our stay after a couple of days. Our main reason for visiting Uluwatu was the surfing. We weren’t interested in the party scene, and this was the perfect place for the vibe we were looking for. Thank you to everyone at The Room Padang Padang!! We will definitely be back :)

Verified reviewI had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in and every interaction a breeze. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options to start the day right. The location is also a huge plus — conveniently situated in a great area with easy access to local attractions such as beaches, restaurants, shops, etc. And on a walking distance from many of these places. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

1. The bathroom walls not being closed with the neighbours to the ceiling made privacy very hard, you could hear everything...would be great to close them 2. The bedsheets and pillowcases were hard to breath in, just too much bleach, terrible in fact. 3. The pillows were extremely high, went to the reception after the first night and asked if there were others as I barely managed to sleep and woke up with terrible neck pain, the lady simply said, no that's all what we have. I found that a bit dry and honestly not nice, yet I thought that when coming back later at night (discussion at 08:00 AM), I would find a lower pillow, well, no. So I spent a second night with even more pain on the neck... 4. While you have the option to ask for it and get it, would be nice to keep a small kettle with a few tea bags or so, would make the stay nicer ...
