How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewTo get to this resort, you travel a short way off a very busy street, down a quiet laneway. This is perfect! Still right within the heart of busy Canggu, but the resort is quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to the Beach, Old Mans and loads of shops, restaurants and bars. The resort is boutique and also has a rooftop bar and restaurant.
There are no lifts, so you need to take the stairs to enter the resort, or go to the rooftop bar/restaurant, where breakfast is also served. It didn't bother us but may be an issue for people who are not comfortable with climbing stairs.

Verified reviewI loved how kind the people were and how pretty the whole place was. As we were staying for four nights, we got a delightful complimentary breakfast everyday, including a welcome drink and free happy hour drink. It was so close to everything - popular restaurants, beach clubs and other stores.
Some of the room's design choices made it feel a bit uncomfortable - one big window looking out into the hotel's public area and the bathroom blinds not fully covering the window looking out into the bedroom.

Verified reviewLoved the location and how close the room was to the pool. The staff were brilliant and we got free breakfast every day. The room was huge, the bed was comfortable as was the bathroom. Laundry services was excellent too.
We would suggest some more hooks or a drying rack to dry towels. The bathroom was getting a little tired (particularly the shower area looked a little grubby even though it was clean, lots of marks and shelf appeared dirty)

Verified reviewAll the team were kind and accommodating, from the reception to the restaurant and everyone in between. The restaurant offered vegan alternatives and reception arranged our scooter without hassle. Always greeted with a smile and by name, made our experience so memorable. We stayed in the deluxe room and villa and both were immaculate with beautiful furnishings and interior. Highly recommend.

Verified reviewThe Prime is an elegantly designed accommodation. The pool is lovely and the room are large and modern. The staff are so friendly and you don’t feel lonely in a foreign country. The buffet breakfast was very enjoyable and changed daily and they cook extra eggs your way fresh and also local favourites. The accommodation is close to everything you need. Great stay in Canggu.

Verified reviewthe property is situated with in walking distance of the beach... It is modern and a much more relaxed area to stay than in Kuta...Seminyak...or Legian. It is a small Boutique hotel and staff are all trying hard ... to please The Bathrooms are modern by Bali standards. ..why they put the shower handfpiece opposite the door I have no idea ?The tv is great...coulld get Netflix and Prime . Brillant !!....Not available in 5 star accommodation In Kuta. There is no lift and a long Alley to access property plus a multitude of steep stairs....not good if you are older and not mobile. Free Breakfast was a bonus with Independence Day.

Verified reviewWe booked a twin room and a 1-bedroom villa. This review is for the 1-bedroom villa. + It was great to find a hotel that has villas as we like the service that hotels provide while having the privacy of a villa. + The hotel is on buzzy Jalan Munduk Catu, and very handy to the even more buzzy Jalan Batu Bolong and Echo Beach, with lots of eateries, shops and spa salons nearby. Despite this, the hotel is tucked down a wide and safe laneway - a nice respite. + The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The bedroom ceiling has a beautiful cone-shape which creates a great sense of space. + The kitchen has a filtered water dispenser. + The outstanding aspect of The Prime are the staff members, like Rai, who regularly check how things can be improved, and Ana who greeted us by name every morning at breakfast. My son woke up unwell one morning so Sisil in the restaurant arranged for a simple breakfast and ginger tea to be prepared and personally delivered it to his room.
- The small living/kitchen area was quite tired looking: the sink - while clean - was very stained, and there were splotches on the walls. - The villa's private pool was not quite private as the villa next door was 2-storey and occasionally our neighbours used the balcony and could look straight into our pool. - One day new occupants of another villa were very noisy in the pool, bouncing a ball against the wall repeatedly and shouting - the drawback of having a private pool. However, we advised reception, who dealt with it, and upon checking out Elza, the supervisor, apologised for the disturbance. - On the first morning the breakfast was not very nice. It seemed like the Indonesian breakfasts (mi goreng and rice porridge) had been reheated. However, this appeared to be a one-off as the other 2 mornings there were different chefs who cooked the meals fresh and with care. - This didn't bother us but if you have mobility restrictions The Prime isn't for you. There are stairs to the rooms/villas and to the restaurant, and some are very large and steep. - Overall, the hotel service is excellent whether you stay in a hotel room or the more expensive villas so next time we would consider just staying in a room.

Verified reviewWe booked a twin room and a 1-bedroom villa. This review is for the twin room. + Great value due to Booking.com deal. + The location is very handy to Jalan Batu Bolong and Echo Beach. + The room was quite basic but clean, spacious and comfortable and it was great to have a bathtub. + The room was very quiet. We had requested a quiet room so they gave us one across from the restaurant (had read that the rooms under restaurant can be a little noisy). + The pool can only be used from 9am-7pm which means that there is no noise coming from the area too early or too late. + The outstanding aspect of The Prime is the staff who regularly check how things can be improved. My son woke up unwell one morning so Sisil in the restaurant arranged for a simple breakfast and ginger tea to be prepared and personally delivered it to his room. Also, when the toilet was blocked Dian on reception quickly arranged for it to be fixed.
