The view was outstanding. Bed & pillows were super comfortable. Room was lovely, spacious, fresh and clean. Airconditioner worked a treat. Helpful friendly staff. Nice secluded pool. Food in cafe was a bit expensive & slow but delicious and very modern asian fusion! Cheap warungs close by also offered great meal & drink options. Nice and quiet through the night and meant could surf without the crowds early morning and afternoons.

Was noisy (talking & music) from the cafe below from 9am-9pm, then the cafe staff were very noisy from 9-10pm packing up and socialising.

The location on the beach was amazing. Nice little pool out the back.

People coming into the hotel trying to find their way to the street and the cafe staff downstairs coming up to use the wifi so their clients could pay their bill.

A mini fridge in the room would be good and coffee making facilities perhaps in the common area on the balcony.

Only small thing but air cons in some of our rooms didn’t work very well.

Too noisy with music and people talking loudly that woke us up at 7am every morning, and could hear the music from downstairs until about 9pm. The room was very basic, we managed but we only stayed 3 nights. On the last day there was no running water and electricity so checked out early. The reception guy was never around, for example when we arrived we waited a while to have him turn up to check us in and then when we left he couldn’t be found so we just left the keys on the front desk. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

A great location if you want simplicity. Relaxing and beautiful. The pool was nice. Some good massage places up the hill (away from the beach). Great communal area. I would definitely return. Staff always helpful.

Obviously having to walk from the car park through uneven terrain was tricky. Though the staff were happy to help. Water didn’t run 24/7. I stayed in one of the middle rooms for one night and the light from the corridor was bright. I put eyeshades on.

The location

Very very small room could hardly move, no TV, very uncomfortable moving around room. No breakfast but great Cafe below. Had to pay an extra 30dollars a day on breakfast . Getting to the hotel is a mission and you walk through construction sites and 2 retuarantes

The view and location

This is absolutely not a 4 stars hotel! I don’t know how it’s possible for them to claim that. To resume: - to get inside the property, you have to walk 10 min with your luggage and pass by a little road full of trash, then an abandoned construction site(dangerous specially at night), then 3 restaurants which have nothing to do with the property - the “king suite” room had an awful drain smell which transferred to the towels and our clothes - no window in the room. The only source of light is the door and you don’t want to open your curtains unless you want all other guests to see you in your bed - the toilet was so dirty and smelled. Previous guests’ footsteps were still visible on the floor - the towels and bed sheets were not clean - every morning at 7 am we could hear the bar’s staff moving the tables and chairs to prepare for opening. Loud music was starting at 8 am and playing non stop until 10 pm - the staff did not speak a word of English - it was more expensive than some amazing resorts we tried during our trip - they ask you to pay as soon as you arrive and before you actually realise you want your money back The only good thing is that I only booked for 2 nights

So close to the beach, with amazing views, with local restaurants, for a small price.

Wifi was only available from the rooms, not the cafe downstairs.

Really loved our laid back stay here. Great for surfers and beach goers. Clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff.

the location otherwise it was really loud and it’s awful to find the hotel, Do not go there if you carry a lot of stuff.

the restaurants around are really loud with the music. You can hear the music from 8am to 9pm.

I always complain that everything gets totally overrated, but this place is completely underrated. No idea what people are complaining about. We were hesitating to book it because of the reviews and totally loved it. Directly on the beach, with stunning views on top of a lovely cafe and a nice pool in the backyard. WiFi is not the fastest true but who cares and maybe a good moment to put the stupid devise away. We as a family with kids 8 and 11 can’t wait to be back and watch the sunset and the surfer from the terrace.

How did this hotel get such a rating? There's not even a road here, I had to walk through the construction site with a suitcase, the room itself smelled and there was also a dirty toilet, my friends checked into a nice hotel and it was cheaper and just the perfect room, but apparently they charge for the first line, but in January the beach is terribly dirty! But the worst thing is the ceiling in the shower, there's a huge gap and at night a bigger cockroach got in, ran around the room, then a lizard (but they're everywhere anyway)

They have their own swimming pool at the back of the building.
