How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThis place is absolutely amazing for relaxing. The customer service is outstanding—every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. Anytime we had a request, the staff responded promptly and always with a warm smile. They even picked us up for a late check-in and helped with our bags—small things, but they made a big difference. The setting is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by farmland with no sound of traffic—just frogs and the calming sounds of nature. Even the air smells fresh and clean. Sitting by the swimming pool to meditate or simply relax with a partner was so refreshing. The indoor space was spotless and comfortable, complete with a fridge, a bathtub, and all the essentials. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to escape the noise and truly connect with nature.

Just one thing - My room was on top and there were no buildings in front. No one can see inside the room. But there was a DRONE flying outside my balcony and windows. I didn’t know and I was changing clothes!! This is a violation of privacy. I told the staff that drones should never be allowed to fly in front of guests’ rooms. I have never seen a hotel allow a drone to fly and look inside the privacy of other guests’ rooms!

Verified reviewEverything! The room was amazing, very clean and spacious with the most insane view (we were first floor). Staff were exceptionally sweet and thoughtful and polite, they decorated our room for my partner’s birthday and got him a little desert with a candle and sang happy birthday which made his birthday extra special. They were always there if we needed anything, the food was lovely, the pool was great, the surroundings so so beautiful and not too far from the centre if you have a moped.
It would be nice if there were more sun-beds as 4 are not enough and there were times we wanted to stay by the pool but there was no space because there are only 4 sun-beds for 6 rooms.

Our secluded resort offers unparalleled tranquility, far removed from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. This peaceful escape comes at the cost of some travel time, we're about 18km from Ubud, a journey that can be longer during Bali's peak season due to traffic. However, our location in Taro provides easy access to attractions outside our resort's area like the renowned Mason Elephant Park (accessible via our complimentary shuttle) and other recreational spots in the area. Verified reviewManager and staff very welcoming, can't do enough for you. We also rented a scooter from the hotel which was handy with it being in a remote location. The room was spotless and had really nice bespoke wood furniture throughout. We stayed in the top floor with terrace, views are unbelievable rice fields, jungle and mount batur and agung in the distance with clear weather. Food wise we only had breakfast on 1 morning and it was excellent so I presume the rest of menu is too. They did off cultural activities to do nearby at no extra cost. Can't rate these highly enough thanks Nenggala suite!
Nothing. Just worth noting the road to the accommodation isn't accessible by car. If your driver can get through the very uneven road it will be Roughly a 50m walk if not it will be about 100m. Take care walking on the poor surface

Verified reviewthe place is uninhabitable, there is watermarks and mould on the walls, the room smells like tiolet, and the stuff is unfriendly and very slow checkin. This guesthouse is is old and not well maintained. the pictures must have been taken 5 years ago, it DOES NOT Look like this anymore.
