Some miscommunication amongst the staffs. It seems they didn’t have a clear communication. We were charged extra for laundry service as it was “express service” which no one mentioned before, only that it was 30k per kg. When I showed my discontent they offered me not to pay the extra charge, but anyway, I paid but I let them know it’d be nice for next time with other guests to have a true and honest communication from the beginning. A similar thing happened with the motorbikes, we asked a few times to change for a better one which they said no problem. When we were back from our snorkeling trip they said it wasn’t possible. Our stay overall was good, I am just guy who appreciates clarity and honesty and not hidden information as it seems they only want to get money from us

Swimming pool was amazing!! Also the bed was very comfortable. Shower was OK, the handle was broken. We reported it to the staffs and was fixed.

The room is big with comfortable bed. The bathroom is spacious with great pressure - hot and cold water! The pool is open all day long, just after sunset you should respect the others. They have great breakfast with Indian options :) great thing to try different food. They arranged a shuttle to the harbour for a fair price.

Unclear communication re hotel breakfast. Advertised as 7:00-11:00 online under the booking, however when arrived at 10:30 told that it ends at 10 and that we will Need to pay extra for breakfast. Advised staff to fix on website as this is disappointing since breakfast price included with booking. Charged 50,000 IDR for small empty glass bottle breaking in bathroom. Could have been more clear earlier about this steep cost especially given breakfast situation.

Breakfast was included in the package and was mentioned that Ala Carte’ menu. We were only able to select the one food items and requested to make some changes but the Restaurant staffs and chefs refuse and mentioned not able to make any change. I requested to for a omelette to include in continental breakfast but not able to consider the request.

Very nice pool. Got free of charge transfer to and from the dive center and also to the harbour when we left. Good restaurant and helpful staff. After ordering in the restaurant we could eat on our own terrace.

Unfortunately, "beachfront" here doesn’t mean on the beach—it’s about 500 meters away, and getting there involves walking along a busy road with no sidewalks. Both the beach and surrounding area have quite a bit of litter, giving the impression of a large dumping area -as does the whole Island. The water currents can be strong. The cleanliness standards need improvement. The bungalows are in need of renovation. The insulation is poor, leading to significant cooling loss during the day when it’s hot, making the interior of the bungalow uncomfortably warm despite the AC.

The staff was kind and attentive, always trying to assist and guide us with all our needs. The hotel’s pool and garden are beautiful. Considering the limited infrastructure on the island, the presence of several restaurants near the hotel made it easier to find decent food options.

Our bathroom was messy and did have a lot of old hair in the shower stones and stains on the wall, it could probably do with a good clean but it didn't stop us from enjoying our time there. There is a lot of potential with this place :) Apologies for the pictures, they are blurry screenshots from a video.

Great base to explore Nusa Penida. Only a 20-30min walk which we enjoyed as we got to take in some of the sights and shops along the way. The reception area is clean and tidy and the staff was helpful with checking in very easy. The garden and pool area is beautiful with lovely flowering trees everywhere and mango trees overhead. Our room was huge and it had a wide full length mirror which was super helpful. The interior reminds me of a seaside bach or cabin and we liked it. The bathroom is outside and it was not very clean but hey, you're on an island that isnt very developed, you cant expect everything. For us, the cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't a problem, we still used the shower and toilet without issue. Our bed was made each day and the aircon was good. I accidentally left the aircon off and our room was so hot, it took awhile for the aircon to kick back on but again that is not an issue to us. The pool is huge and we spent a lot of time in it. There is a swim up bar however it is not stocked or manned so buy your own beers at the restaurant and take them to the pool with you. We only had 1 breakfast at the restaurant because we had early morning activities booked but there were a range of options on the menu including a few Indian dishes. I do have to recommend the Joglo Penida just down the road for amazing pastries and large breakfast options and coffee. It is not a super large accommodation so it never feels crowded with guests, everyone gets their own space and we really enjoyed ourselves. Also, yes there are roosters making noises int he morning and a few dogs barking but come on guys, remember where you are, you're on a stunning island that has animals, don't let it ruin your day. Now and then you can hear noise coming from a temple or something nearby, again it is not worth complaining about when you go to Nusa Penida. I wish the staff of the MG Villas and Spa all the best for the future.

- noises during the night and early morning. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Neighbors like karaoke evenings or something. Also a mosque close by. - they charged for a small buggy ride to the harbour a bit further away to go to Gilis
