A small issue is that kitchen cupboards are getting a little old and a bit musty from being closed most of the time but that is being a bit picky

We were in a 2 bedroom villa but have also stayed in a 3 bedroom previously . All villas are very spacious with lovely outdoor showers in the ensuites. The pools are very large and sunny. Having an Italian restaurant on site is very convenient . The gardens are lush and well maintained. Staff are excellent

The security person who guided me to the accommodation upon my arrival was unprofessional and not polite. The external activities I booked through the accommodation weren't the best value for the service. The Layar may consider changing its activities provider.

It was very easy and quick to get the keys and enter the accommodation. The villa was terrific and clean. The staff was friendly and responsive. The spa, which is an internal service, was unbeatable.

Open air design made us sitting targets for mosquitos. The staff sprayed every day and the AC in the bedrooms all helped.

The villa was well maintained and featured many great amenities with luxurious design. The staff incredibly were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were also great and prepared fresh every morning. Location in Seminyak was quiet yet close enough to main entertainment hot spots.

Whilst not an issue for me, there are alot of small stairs in various angles within the villa that may catch elderly or kids by surprise.

Welcoming and friendly staff, very responsive to any communication. The grounds are lovely, villas feel spacious and beautiful clean pools in both villas we stayed in. Enjoyed an in-Villa massage which was fantastic and highly recommend. Despite a few tired aspects, still one of the nicest villas we’ve stayed in - 4 bedroom and 3 bedroom. 5-7min walk to eat street and pop out at Ginger Moon restaurant.

We found the proximity to great restaurants, shopping and bars was amazing. The staff were a standout. All of them were so friendly, helpful, engaging and always happy to see us. We stayed in a three bedroom villa where the open plan living area and connection to the pool was amazing. The pool kept us cool during the day and at night the air conditioned bedrooms made sure we were very comfortable when we wanted to sleep. We also enjoyed a great selection from the menu for breakfast every morning in our villa. Overall we loved our time at The Layer and will definitely return.

The maintenance level in particular, greater attention could be given to this.

We have stayed at The Layar previously and always enjoy it. On this occasion we did note that the property is not being maintained as well as it could be. Boards in the decks were rotting, timber roof tiles were not being replaced amongst a variety of smaller, other things. Not enough problems however, not to consider revisiting as we love this property.

We have stayed at The Layar a number of times. The lush green gardens and the spacious rooms and sunny pools keep bringing us back Having a restaurant on site provides convenience and food choice and quality is good so you can maximise your enjoyment time in your Villa The rooms are clean and serviced twice daily by friendly staff who are in and out in no time so there is minimal intrusion The property is set back from the road so peace and quiet is guaranteed This is a high quality experience and close to all of the famous Seminyak restaurants

Loved everything about it. No. 1 the pool. Decent size for a family of 5. The bathrooms are really big and spacious. Beds are very comfortable and the living room was perfect for the whole family we all fit very comfortably

We got chewed by Mosquitos in the outdoor toilet and bathrooms. Preferred they were indoor. Was very reluctant to use them b cause of this. Could have had an indoor sitting area too. Too much mosquitos. Breakfast was average. Expected better.

We loved being in the private villa. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa and it was enormous! It would have easily accommodated 2 couples with heaps of space for privacy. The pool was massive and the surrounding area was a beautiful lush well kept garden. The lounge area was comfy and homey feeling, the mezzanine was also comfy with the same style of couch as the lounge area. We loved having the open air bathroom. The weather in Bali was hot and humid but the airconditioning in the bedroom was amazing. Our bed was also enormous! The staff were great, very attentive to anything we needed. They really look after the guests and we were made to feel very welcome. It was great to have a restaurant on site that we could choose to eat in at or have food brought to the villa through room service with lots of options. Breakfast was included with our booking and it was a la carte which could be taken in room or in the restaurant. The villa was great location wise, it was about a 10 minute walk to the main street in Seminyak where there were restaurants galore, shops and bars.

The villas are very quiet and private even though you're in walking distance of all the action. Having the option of breakfast in your villa was really nice when everyone wakes up at different times. The villas and pool were very clean and the garden was well kept. A great place to relax after walking around Seminyak.

There is nothing to fault about this property. 10/10. It would be nice if there was a gym on the property, but it’s no biggie as there is a gym around the corner.

All staff are very friendly and approachable. The service is fast when we require towels or room service etc the staff are exceptional. The rooms were spacious clean and gives a modern feel. The cleaners are really fast and prompt. Pool is amazing to cool down in after a long day of activities. Garden kept tidy and serviced daily. Love how there are hardly no mosquitos as it’s sprayed each evening. We also had a family BBQ in our villa and the food was fresh and delicious, the set up was fabulous. Perfect location, tidy and clean. Well established villa that catered to our family needs. Highly recommend and will definitely be back in future.

The service was amazing , we had some problem in the beginning about the electricity in the villa and they change it for us and give us free 1 hour massage and free shuttle to the airport 👍🏻 they response to our complaints very quickly and they care for our comfort
