The shower head in our bathroom dribbled out instead of spray, but had enough water to shower with and temperature was warm. Apart from that everything was good.

The hot spring pool and private hot spa were definitely the highlight. It wasn’t crowded as there are few villas and we had the pool to ourselves a few times. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning was good. Really enjoyed the stay and you can see the mountains from the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is in walking distance to a few nice places to eat. It was nice to have breakfast included. Would definitely recommend.

Its not just the property but the whole of Kintamani area is full of black flies. Never seen so many flies in my life.

The only downside was that the shower water wasn’t warm or hot—but this seemed to be a common issue in several hotels we stayed at.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was clean, and the entire environment was quiet, offering a calm and relaxing stay. The pool/hot spring provided a stunning view. Ayu, my favorite staff member, also served as my guide for the Mount Batur hike and was fantastic. The location is convenient with restaurants and a mart within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Our booking included breakfast but the food quality was poor. The granola was mostly fruit with a tiny bit of granola sprinkled on top. Omelettes were flavourless and rubbery. Lots of flies outside. The local warungs in walking distance were so-so. Despite booking a deluxe twin room with extra bed for our teenage kids, the extra bed was not made up on arrival. Like many places in Bali, barking dogs made for a noisy night at times, and traffic was audible in the early hours. Needed earplugs.

It was a real novelty to stay somewhere cool enough in Bali to be able to enjoy hot soaks. The pools are definitely the highlight here; alternating between the hot spa shared by our kids and the slightly cooler infinity pool was just lovely. Rooms were lovely, comfortable beds, beautiful grounds. It was our first time visiting Kintamani and The Lava was a good base to visit the Trunyan village cemetery, which was a very interesting cultural experience.

our stay was delightful, great views of both mountains and the lake. The accommodations were stunning. The staff was beyond sweet. The breakfast was delightful. We had many laughs with our concierge. And very helpful with coordinating taxis. Their help with making the big hike was done with such care. A joyish retreat.

Location is brilliant. The family suite was beautiful, very comfortable for the 4 of us. Our private hot spring jacuzzi was really amazing. Edy organized the Mt Batur trek for us, and ATV on black sands..... Everything was amazing.

The parking area is a bit limited so it’s requiring maneuver if there are other cars parked nearby. The asian breakfast choice could be made better according to our personal tastes as Indonesian. 😊

The hot spring pool facility is really good and we love it! It’s not crowded at all and easy to access anytime we’d like to. The location is near mini markets and a few good restaurants for dinner. Highly recommended for couple or family who travel in Kintamani area.

The Lava Bali was perfect for our stay in Kintamani. It’s a gorgeous property with a resort feel!!! The Lava Bali provided a beautiful and comfortable villa steps away from the trailhead for the climb up Mount Batur, a private hot spring in front of our villa and a hot spring pool to relax in, yummy breakfast on site, nearby restaurants to walk to, and a friendly and warm top notch staff. Communication with Edy via WhatsApp was so easy and he arranged everything and anything you could want including a guide for Batur from the hotel, a driver to one of the sunset restaurants and a ride to our next destination! The onsite staff were fantastic and very focused on making sure your stay was perfect. Language was no problem. Shout out to Bagia for taking excellent care of us at the hotel and up on the volcano trail!!!! I highly recommend this property for your Kintamani stay!!!
