You need to be careful when closing the room door, as it can shift and leave a gap to the outside. There were water deposits in the shower. The kitchen area is a bit worn. We had difficulty finding our way back to the hotel at night—Google Maps led us through someone’s private property, and it was quite confusing to figure out which path to take to reach the hotel.

A fun idea – an outdoor shower. The location is peaceful, with plenty of open space and nature around. A private area with a small pool. The hotel has a cozy and beautiful style.

Its a bit secluded and getting there involves walking along some dark roads/a small field. Having a flashlight along at night is recommended.

Exactly like the pictures - clean, luxurious, comfortable and a quiet retreat in the heart of Gili Air. Fendi was very helpful in giving us recommendations for the island. There is also a superb coffee shop practically next door which serves exceptional breakfast/brunch.

Lovely place to stay and relax. Very nice staff, always attentive and friendly. They made sure we got a bike and even took care of our laundry. Everything you need is provided. Location is great, right in the middle of the island which makes it easy to get to all sides of it. Will definitely come back!

The outdoor shower invited many bugs and insects into the bathroom, which progressed into the bedroom.

The room itself was beautiful, exceeds its looks within the advertisement. Location of the bungalow is superb as it’s directly in the middle of the island. The staff provided excellent service to our needs and were accommodating. Place was also very clean.

I don’t think the price is worth it for what they offer. Do note while the property is in a great location within walking distance of restaurants, you need to get through dirt paths to get to it and the area is not lit at all. The outside kitchen is quite dirty, it’s is fine to expect dust, but the glasses were dirty. For the price they charge, they should offer snacks and at least a drink for free and not just water. The price for the drinks are way too high. Also, a large mirror would be nice to have.

This villa is a hidden gem in a fantastic location, offering a perfect blend of beauty, privacy, and tranquility. The property is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and pleasantly fragrant. The stunning decor adds to its charm, creating a truly inviting atmosphere. The pictures don’t do justice to just how amazing this place is. The swimming pool is a highlight, featuring a cozy cove with seating, drink shelves, and a small waterfall feature that adds a touch of luxury. The open-roof shower with hot water is a unique and refreshing experience, and the bed is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. Towels for both the pool and shower are provided

Shower did not drain quickly enough whilst using so ended up standing in a pool of water. Could have done with a full length mirror. Daybed and cushions could do with a more thorough clean as fabric was stained. Would still come again and highly recommend as the above didn’t detract from the wow factor of the villa itself!

    - There were a bit too many bugs for us, not sure if the place is frequently fumigated. We have done outdoor toilets in the past but seems like there are quite a few mosquitos, we did find ourselves spraying repellent on numerous times throughout the day. - The rooms do need to be deep cleaned more - no drying rack provided - Do note while the property is central to everything you need to get through dirt paths to get to it and the area is not lit at all. - may be picking on this a bit more but the place needs a gardener to fix up the greenery!

Outdoor pool and bar area was cool, great to hang around especially in the evening! Perfect size for a couple. Good location in the center of everything and right next to coffee roasters which is an excellent cafe. Fendy is very responsive to all our needs, super great!

1- the villa was really small, there was no space to leave the luggage (we had to open our backpacks in the floor). They should add a small bench to at lease open the bags. 2-the villa is in the center of the Gili Air and a lot to after sunset there is no light in the streets so you need to make a 15 min walk in the dark through the wood. There were cows in the way and also local people houses. You needed to use the lantern the whole walk. Would not recommend going through that. 3-the bathroom was open in the shower which lead to a lot of mosquitos and insects to come into the villa. 4-the bathroom was too big which was unnecessary as it was open and it was too hot , so you did not spend time there. 5-the villa is in the center of the Gili Air and a lot to after sunset there is no light in the streets so you need to make a 15 min walk in the dark through the wood. There were cows in the way and also local people houses. You needed to use the lantern the whole walk. Would not recommend going through that. 6- when we arrived to the villa the second day at 5 o’clock the man who runs the villas was inside with the street door open and our stuff inside the villa. He was watering the plants but he should have done it in the morning when he cleans the room not in the afternoon when we come back to the villa. He should not get inside whenever he wants, our stuff is in there ….

It has potential to be a good villa but there are things that make it not worth it

The faucets were rusty and the pipes were smelling bad. The space destinated to place you luggage and clothes is located in the bathroom and due to the humidity of the island (because of the open-concept bathroom) and the smell it was impossible to leave the clothes there. There were spiders inside of the room and we found little ones in our bed almost every day. To take on consideration (not the property’s fault), it is located in the middle of the island and the access is a tricky sandy path with no lighting (putch black at night).

The staff were very nice and helpful at anytime. The place could be better if they would give a bot of tlc, as it is a very cute place.

Dressing room with Shower and toilet. Room very small. 2 power cuts in 3 days. The location of the accommodation is central on the island but walking to it in the dark is not something we’d wish to repeat. Lots of ants in the garden area. Drains had bad odour. The accommodation just needs to basic maintenance and love.

Outdoor space very private, pool a good size. The area was quiet.

Unfortunately, the air con and electrics were a nightmare throughout our stay, always turning themselves off/tripping. We messaged Fendy numerous times to help out, which he did, but it was such an inconvenience for us and him. When it worked, the only air-con unit was in the bedroom, so getting ready in the bathroom is horrendous as the heat is unbearable. We were woken up at 5am to the air-con unit switching itself off and making a loud noise, we would turn it back on and it kept switching itself off after 5-10 minutes, which meant the room was too hot and our sleep was disturbed. The kitchen area and items such as glasses and cutlery need a deep clean as well as the bathroom as it has a constant rotten egg/sewer smell. Additionally, the location is not ideal as you can only take dirt tracks to get to The Cove and no matter how/if you avoid the dust/mud, you will end up really dirty/filthy.

We loved that it was a private space with a gorgeous, large pool with added waterfall feature. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which was always cool and refreshing. The bedroom, and pool area were all clean and Fendy (staff member) was very accommodating and happy to help whenever we needed him. Fendy sent a list a great recommendations to us too, which was lovely.

    absolutely nothing

Absolutely Perfect Tropical Getaway I recently had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting private villa on a beautiful tropical island, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The villa is absolutely adorable, with charming decor that blends seamlessly with the lush, vibrant surroundings. The highlight of my stay was the private pool, which offered an oasis of tranquility and relaxation. It was the perfect spot to unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy the serene ambiance. The villa's location in the heart of the island provided a wonderful sense of seclusion, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty without any disturbances. I was initially hesitant after reading some of the other reviews, but after experiencing it firsthand, I can't understand their criticisms. Everything about our stay was impeccable, from the immaculate cleanliness to the attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. If you're looking for a dreamy escape in a picturesque tropical setting, look no further. This villa is a hidden gem and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect, peaceful retreat. I can't wait to return!

There is no soundproofing so you won’t be able to get much sleep. The call to prayer played out for 2 hours until 10/11pm at night, then started again at 4:00am. It is so loud and distorted through the loud speakers nearby that you can’t block it out. It was unbearable, and not at all like our experience at a different resort on the island where if the doors were closed it blocked out most the call to prayer. The bathroom is very smelly, there is no gas trap under the sink so every time you wash your hands or use the sink at all, the whole space reeked of rotten eggs. They didn’t replace the towels even though they were all wet, even though we saw somebody enter the premise right after we left on middle day of our stay. They didn’t replace any towels or appear to clean anything, just moved the outdoor beanbags. There was limited hot water so showers had to be super fast otherwise they went cold, which was horrible when I washed my hair and ran out of hot water before I was done (and this was not a long shower). It was also very hard to find, with only one tiny sign between the harbour and the location. There were 5 or 6 signs for the cafe nearby, but trying to find the venue was very frustrating. For the price, it was a really disappointing experience. Would not recommend it, and would not stay again.

It looks beautiful, and has a very comfy bed. But the comfy bed is little use when you get hardly any sleep due to the noise from the call to prayer late into the night and early in the morning.

Very quite and private, modern design with the tropical feel. Loved the pool and the facilities. The host was super nice and was always happy to help with any of our questions and made great suggestions for our stay. We booked the place for our honeymoon and they went an extra mile by making the swan on our bed with the lovely note and complimentary drink, which was unexpected, but greatly appreciated. They also met us at the harbour which was nice as we did not have to think how to get there and could just relax and enjoy. The place was right next to Forest cafe which had an amazing brunch options, we went there twice and loved the food and coffee. We love our stay and highly recommed the villa for others.
