New ZealandThe room could benefit from a deep clean and a bit of maintenance—there was a cobwebs and some dust, and a door handle needed fixing. To their credit, the staff addressed the door issues promptly after we mentioned them, which we really appreciated.
We had a wonderful stay! The staff were truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They arranged a scooter for us, which made getting around easy despite the property being a 10–15 minute drive from central Ubud. We specifically chose this location for its quiet, rural charm, and it exceeded our expectations. The team also organised a driver for a memorable day trip to Bekasih Temple then onto Uluwatu and a flower bath experience! Breakfast was delicious, with three tasty options served on our balcony each morning—a perfect, relaxing start to the day. The pool was refreshing and beautifully maintained; we only wish we had more time to enjoy it. The mini fridge with complimentary water was a thoughtful detail, especially appreciated in the heat and humidity.

United Arab EmiratesI celebrated my birthday in this hotel. The staff is very caring. They treated all requests attentively, the apartments are very clean and stylish. The bathroom is a separate work of art. It was especially nice to see a surprise on the bed. But the most unexpected thing was to receive a delicious brownie with mocktails: the perfect start to the Ubud adventures for the birthday girl. If you are going to celebrate a birthday in Ubud, choose only The Compass Rose Ubud. Thanks to the whole team for the festive mood and comfort.

IrelandIf you are coming to Ubud you must stay at the compass rose . This is the most fabulous stay! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the most wonderful staff, they made us feel so welcome and right at home. The staff went above and beyond for us and we can not thank them enough. The bedrooms are fabulous , clean and so spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is absolutely delicious , as is the dinner , so tasty and fresh. United KingdomMe and my husband had an absolutely amazing honeymoon here. The team was so welcoming and made our whole stay feel wonderful. They organized a motorbike rent for us, we had breakfast included and every morning we had a choice of Indonesian, American or Continental breakfast, we tried them all and they all tasted amazing and were freshly made. The whole hotel felt like a relaxation oasis. They also organised an airport pick up and drop off for us which cost 500k IDR for a car 1 way. We have also tried the "Roma tic dinner" package and Sofi and the team did an amazing job, we felt very spoiled and the flower arrangements were beautiful. We also had a few lunches and dinner at their restaurant and the menu had a lot of options, they also adjusted some dishes for me as I am a vegetarian so that was really helpful. Overall, would 10/10 recommend.
