Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere’s nothing we didn’t like however one improvement we thought is that the staff could come check on you when around the pool area to see if you want to order anything. That would have made it!
Amazing resort with great facilities- loved the sauna, and hot/cold pools. Breakfast was lovely-we really enjoyed. Amazing decor and natural setting through which made is so tranquil. Nice friendly staff o and Sumba the kitten was our favourite!!

SingaporeThe aircon in our room stopped working on the day before we checked out - there was a bit of a communication issue and we were in limbo for a couple hours without a resolution but eventually we were moved to another room. Due to the layout of the bathroom in the second room, the whole bathroom floor got wet when you showered. Neither of these were huge issues and I only mention them because of the price of rooms.
Second time staying at this beautiful property. Easily one of the most serene and stunning properties in Bingin! The food is healthy and yet delicious, the staff are warm and kind, and the location is excellent.

AustraliaAbsolutely Magical! Where do I even begin? My stay at The Asa Maia in Uluwatu was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, my partner and I were embraced by the warmth and genuine hospitality of the incredible staff, who made me feel like part of their family. Every interaction was thoughtful, personal, and effortless, from breakfast by the poolside, to contrast therapy with the amazing teacher Daniela in the mornings. The facilities are five-star in every sense. The design is elegant yet grounded in nature, with every detail carefully curated to create an atmosphere of peace, luxury, and authenticity. The spa, the pool, the yoga shala, the sauna, everything is immaculate, beautifully maintained, and just so serene. We arrived as guests, but left as friends. I will absolutely be coming back – there’s nowhere else quite like it. If you’re considering it, book it. You won’t regret a single moment. Thank you Martha, Daniela and the rest of the team :)

AustraliaFood was good but not on the same page as the facilities. Meals could be made exceptional with additional touches like more variety of plant foods in salads and more unique recipes and use of local ingredients to result in more interesting choices. Current menu is very similar to many other cafes in the area.
An exceptional hotel with private health spa, yoga facilities

AustraliaAbsolutely nothing!
The attention to detail and the impeccable choice of everything. You can feel that all that surrounds you has been chosen with the guests experience at the forefront of mind. The facilities are world class. The addition of practitioners there for guidance is a lovely example of the care that has been taken in this hotel.

AustriaIt was my first solo trip on my birthday. I’ve always celebrated surrounded by loved ones and friends, but this year, I felt a deep calling to do things differently. To celebrate with myself. So I treated myself to a stay at this beautiful sanctuary - and it exceeded all my expectations. The facilities are exceptional, the atmosphere is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Every detail is infused with intention, health, and wellness. What makes it even more special is the sense of community. With only 10 rooms, you quickly connect with fellow travelers - especially after the first morning contrast therapy session! It’s intimate, soulful, and truly rejuvenating. I can't recommend Asa Maia enough - whether you're seeking a solo escape, a romantic retreat, or a meaningful reunion with friends. Already missing this gem!

During your stay, you can join free yoga classes, where the instructor offers individual support based on your level. The spa experience was amazing. NetherlandsNothing.
The Asa Maia exceeded our expectations, everything was perfect. We loved the facilities, including the classes and contrast therapy by Daniela, the pool and plunge pools, sauna and gym. The signature massage at the spa is one of, if not, the best we had in Bali. The food and drinks are also amazing, very clean and feels healthy, whilst being absolutely delicious. The rooms are also amazing, not only do they look great, the room was very private and clean. Last but not least, the staff is great; they are extremely friendly and focused to ensure the stay is flawless. A special shoutout to the security guards who offer the buggy service to bring you to nearby restaurants and places throughout the entire day.

SingaporeA very loud hammerjack from 8.00am to about the entire afternoon due to nearby constructions, it is out of the hotel's hands but they should let the guests know before booking. The bed frame is made of wood and can become very noisy when engaging into pillow activities with the partner.
Loved the staff attitude, the quality of the food, the comfort of the bed and the facilities overall.
