Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThis place was absolutely gorgeous! Hands down one of the best spots we stayed at in Bali, no regrets at all. the staff were legends! super helpful and sorted out whatever we needed. We spent a lot of time in the private pool, but the shared one was just as good, both with unreal views over the rice terraces. Waking up and seeing the mountains in the morning was pretty special too. Food was decent, and since the villa’s out in the rice fields, we usually ate at the restaurant for dinner. Good feed, good prices, no complaints there. All up, such a great escape from the busy part of Ubud, especially in peak season when it’s packed. We’ll 100% be back👍

Indonesiawe really had a great time at Tanta Escape! we got tired of the busy Ubud central street and decided to escape to Tegallalang for a little bit, and didn't regret it at all. the surrounding rice terrace view from the room was soooo beautiful, we have never seen any view like this with this price! so we think the value for money is so good 👍 breakfast was delicious, and staff were very attentive and were able to arrange everything we requested. we did the cultural trekking, and it was fun learning how to make canang and interacting with locals and of course, trekking the amazing rice terrace! we also love the private pool that overlooking the rice terrace view. it was a great and refreshing 1 night stay for us. we will definitely be back again to stay and maybe try the yoga session!

South AfricaListen this place is in the middle of nowhere lol. But you can have a nice run and watch amazing sunsets. You can also order on grab though its expensive because its far. The deck by the main pool could use some maintenance as well but overall pleasant stay.
Looking for a place to just zen and be out in nature surrounded by rice terraces and peace and silence? Then this is your spot. Its really a good escape at a decent price.

MalaysiaThere was no internet connection the first 2 days because it was raining and tree fell on the internet cable. staff did not convey the information but kept saying they are working on the internet.
I love the location of this villa. Although it was far from the tourist attractions but the location of the villa is so serene and calming, surrounded by the paddy fields. The Tegalalang area is cold unlike other places in Bali. Sadly it was raining throughout my entire stay at the villa so i didnt get to soak my self in the pool. the Location is far from the tourist area, so be mindful of the transportation cost, or else you can rent a scooter to move around.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was tasty. We also loved the shared pool with a view of the rice fields. A peaceful and lovely place. We would love to come back!

United Arab EmiratesThe shared swimming pool needs a bit more attention.
I stayed at Tanta Escape for a week for my birthday holiday in Bali. The Villa was beautiful, located in the middle of the rice field. Each villa has its own plunge pool. Interior was very spacious and aesthtically pleasing, high ceiling with wooden beams, floor to ceiling glass walls around the villa which allows you maximum view of the beautifully landscaped surroundings, very comfortable king-sized bed facing the plunge pool and a view of the rice fields, quiet neighborhood, outdoor shower, my own sunbed and umbrella next to the pool (great for sunbathing). Ms Ari and the rest of the staff: Putu, Ngurah, Tika and three others whose names I forgot were so nice, friendly and attentive. Ms Ari made sure I was having an enjoyable and comfortable stay at their place by checking on me daily and arranging delicious breakfast, tours, transportation and even a massage. There were some occasions when she and her husband even gave me a lift to Cretya in the morning, and picked me up in the evening as well. She and Putu also arranged a beautiful floating breakfast for me. They both speak good English, which made our communication very easy because I knew they understood exactly what I meant, and vice versa. Overall, I had a very relaxing and memorable experience at Tanta Escape. Very warm hospitality by the friendly staff, especially Ms Ari. I would definitely stay here again.

IndonesiaWater pressure was so low (if another room is using it), make sure you bring enough food with you as there is no place to buy anything, the private pool was a bit dirty with frogs in it but we're okay with it, thats what you get if you live very close to nature.
Spacious room, complete amenities, very quiet, friendly and helpful staff, no other properties around which is great for us who just want to sleep in. The road to the property is under construction so you can't take your car in, but the staff will pick you up, or you can walk, it was nice to walk along the ricefield and it only takes 5 mins.

IndonesiaWhen i arrived there were no one at the lobby. There was only one staff that working and apparently do almost everything. I booked the accomodation a week upon my arrival but the staff didnt get my reservation.. said i was “sudden” so they didnt really prepare. The main pool is large but seem bit dirty (maybe due to lack of staff).
It’s a huge villa with large bed, the bed was comfy. Bathroom is also great with big bath tub not to mention the private swimming pool. The surrounding is very peaceful and serene considering it located in the middle of rice field.

LatviaThe road to get to the hotel is pretty challenging, especially after the rain. Better to have 4x4 if you go there. There is no restaurant on the premises and the one you can order from is not the best one out there.
Off-the-grid location, great staff and activities.

SloveniaAmazing hotel in the middle of rice fields. Beautiful nature all around. We had some amazing walks in the rice fields. Breakfast is great in big. Property is brand new, so some things are still not operating, but I am sure you will enjoy it as we did. We were staying in one bedroom villa with a private pool. You also have big pool downstairs with rice field views. I highly recommend this resort if you like quite resort in the middle of nature.

AustraliaWe stopped in a villa with a private pool. It was nice but there was definitely some maintenance issues. Nothing major but just a general feeling that things were not getting fixed.
The location was a mixed blessing, nowhere to eat and drink but the hotel facilities, which, to be fare were reasonably priced.
