Our 4 nights stay in Tetebatu Trekking Homestay was one of the highlights of our travel in Indonesia. Everything in that place is made for you to just enjoy and relax. Jhon and his wife are such lovely people, always smiling and caring. If you meet any issue during your stay, let them know and they'll figure it out within the next minutes. The 2 bungalows are located in the middle of the rice fields, far away from the 2 nearest mosques (you almost don't hear the morning prayer, I swear). After a really good night in a comfy bed and a nice hot shower (with pressure), you'll start the day with a good banana pancake. Later in the day, when you're hungry again, treat yourself with one of the delicious dishes prepared by the owner. The curries and peanut sauce dishes were our favourites. Bonus : you can learn how to cook them during a cooking class! Jhon proposes multiple activities, which we unfortunately couldn't test this time. 10/10 would stay again! The warung (and cooking class) is open to everybody, so even if you're not staying there, it's worth stopping by to enjoy the delicious food!

If you are looking for a real local experience in Lombok, this is the place to be. Unbelievably fresh food, beautiful view’s, nice and welcoming people etc. The people welcome you like family and arrange everything for you. From food, culture, to hikes.. just everything! Thank you so much for making my stay unbelievable. I was sad to go.

Nothing. That I had to go to my next adventure.

Beautiful location, very peaceful and remote. Google maps struggles a little bit with correct directions, so make sure you contact the host in time for help. The bungalow is brand new and well designed with great facilities. The only improvement I can think of is maybe more charging sockets. The garden is just stunning with many different kinds of plants and many young fruit trees as well. All surrounded by authentic rice paddies. We brought a fish we caught ourselves, and the family helped us prepare it into an incredible fish curry. We learned how to make coconutmilk from a whole coconut, indonesian currypaste and many more things. The provided breakfast is already great, but I do recommend trying the homemade lunch and dinner options as well. Ati not only a lovely person On the second day our motorbike had a flat battery and Adnin went out of his way to help us in any way he could, even though it was late on a sunday. Thank you once again. It is difficult to explain the dedication the hosts have to make you feel as welcome, cosy, well-fed and happy as they can. Never have we experienced this kind of service. If you are looking for accommodation to be alone and away from everything and everyone, this might not be the place for you. But if you want to experience the warmth and hospitality of two incredible, local people, look no further, there is no place I can recommend more than this.

I had an amazing stay in the bungalow, the rooms are new, clean and big. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Just in front of a rice field, the view is open and green. The owners are amazing!! They are lovely and always available wanting to help. They taught me how to cook jackfruit curry, tempe goreng and we also went for a walk in the soroundings.

Adnin and his wife were really great hosts and this was one of my most pleasant stays in Lombok! Before my arrival he organised a cheap transport for me from Kuta to Tetebatu. When I arrived I was greeted with a free welcome drink. His wife is an amazing cook and you can choose to have lunch and/or dinner next to your homestay (super tasty currys and a lot of possible vegetarian dishes!). Additionally throughout my stay they offered me fresh fruits and other snacks to try out. Both of them were always friendly and helpful. Adnin helped me to get a cheap scooter rental for a day and even brought the scooter to the homestay. He also helped me to book a hiking tour to Gunung Timanuk. And his wife once bought a jackfruit so I can try a jackfruit curry. Besides that: good breakfast, pleasant bed and hot water inside the shower.

Personally nothing! The only thing you have to keep in mind is that there is a mosque nearby and that you are staying next to the rice fields, which can sometimes be quite loud (but that's the case nearly everywhere in Tetebatu).
