There was limited hot water supply and it took a long time for the boiler to heat more water.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable with a view of the mountains. There was a kettle in the room. There was hot water in the bathroom.

We arrived late and they let us take an available room without a reservation. Nice view in the morning. Hot water in the shower.

The staff came to knock at the door in the morning, waking us up, to ask where were we going and if we needed a car.. we are travelling with scooter so we didn't understand what was the question.. then they were selling bread to the room next door...maybe there were bored but we didn't appreciate them stepping into our privacy

Worth noting the toilets aren’t flushable and have to be bailed; a bucket of water is provided.

I think, and it concerns to most of the Indonesian guest houses, that instead of a bulb with sharp light which evokes a cell, the room would be much nicer and cosy with a small nice lamp. It's not expensive and will make much much better atmosphere. There were no toiletries as it was written

Difficult to find, on main road is a sign but nothing on the house. It's the first house on the right when you turn onto small concrete road where the sign pointed.

There was some noise early in the morning but not a problem with earplugs.

It was suitable for an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable and within walking distance to restaurants and minimart.

You can hear the prayers relatively loudly in the morning, but that is part of the culture and you should be prepared for it. It didn't bother us, but you should know.

Very nice guest house with a very attentive host :) The rooms are clean, we have nothing to complain about. The host can also organise a local bus for the onward journey and you can also rent a scooter from him.

It would be great to have a water refill station to reduce plastic use. Also the room is equipped very sparcely, some sort of clothes rack or similar would be great.

While there was nothing overtly wrong with the accommodation, it was a rather soul-less place to stay. The owner is a public servant, and was rarely at the guesthouse, and thus a guest couldn't ask for assistance in any way. Breakfast was dull, a magic jar with fried rice with little in the way of vegies or meat (eg chicken) and generally cold. Prepared by the owner before he went to the office. During the day, especially office hours, nobody around, which is not great for security or getting information. There is much more to running a guesthouse than just building and providing a few rooms, there must be staff on-site at all times!

A reasonably new Homestay, run by a friendly owner. Room was spacious and with a nice outlook towards the mountains and down into the surrounding "kampung".

The mattress was not comfortable (metallic springs? sticking in your shoulder when sleeping on your side). Bad residual smell in room which we identified as recent coat of paint. You should not book any room before the smell disappear. It is not fair on the guests. Only one towel for 2 people and although extremely soft useless at drying water from skin. Finally, nobody to talk to about room odor or towel as nobody was around

The bathroom was great, hot water and clean. Room was clean and we liked being able to have tea and coffee available at anytime. Close to our preferred restaurant in Ruteng, the Depot Makan Daging Babi Spesial Ketong Pung Ruteng.
