    Nothing was not beautiful

Everything was amazing…. From the time we were greeted on arrival with a blessing to when we left the staff could not have been more outstanding and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Loved the beautiful setting of the forest all around to the sound of the running river below.

    Everything was perfect.

The location was superb - tucked off a main street, down a winding lane, nestled in the rainforest. I loved the buffet breakfast with a great selection of Indonesian and Western style food. Take the time to walk all the way down to the spa and two main pools - it's so relaxing swimming beside the river. The spa treatment (90 minute massage with a Balinese mantra) was superb! There's a great little coffee spot at the end of the laneway, and a renowned yoga school/cafe a 3 minute walk away. As a solo female traveller I felt safe at all times.

This is the best stay I’ve ever had in Bali. This property is traditional and the people who work here made my stay very special. The breakfasts were extensive and delicious and the free yoga and meditation sessions were inspiring. The spa had excellent therapists and the restaurant’s menu was varied and tasty. I enjoyed the 2 pools and my room was very clean, tidy and the bed comfortable. It was so good here that I am coming back next year with my husband

Very beautiful hotel, lots of plants, as if you live in an ancient jungle. The staff is friendly and polite. Breakfast is modest, but everything you need is there, delicious. We had dinner at the hotel, were delighted with the chicken pizza and chicken soup. Also liked the massage in the spa. There is a gorge below where you can walk.

The property is a little shady and dark - which might be pleasant, depending on your perspective. The overall aesthetic is charming, but somewhat more folkloristic and less refined than we were expecting for the price. As the property is steeply sloping, there are a number of steep flights of steps which might make parts of it, such as the spa, inaccessible for some people. The swimming pools are pleasant but a little small and underwhelming if you’re someone who particularly likes to swim.

The property is set within dense, lush rainforest, with beautiful tropical flowers and luxuriant foliage. The site slopes down towards the river, which is quite wide and fast-flowing at that point - beautiful views from our suite, and from the resort restaurant. The resort as a whole has an interwoven, friendly feel - my daughter said that it felt like a village. The buildings include an open-air room with a gamelan, and an art studio. There is a delightful pond with a resident tortoise, and a special sacred area centred on a massive banyan tree. The staff offer a number of interactive workshops and we enjoyed these immensely. There would be plenty of activities for families with younger children. We were looked after very kindly by Muri and the other restaurant staff. We especially loved the evening restaurant meals with live cultural dance performances, which were of a much higher standard than we had expected. We loved our workshops with Pushpa, Purnama and Saras. We learned about Balinese dance, gamelan music, painting and offering-making. This was hands-on weaving with palm fronds, very satisfying. Overall we found the atmosphere so friendly, warm and very relaxing!!

The rooms might not be the most modern or luxurious, but they are stylish, clean and very comfy. The hot water can take a moment or two to rev up but I don’t mind a tepid shower in the tropics.

The land this property is on is just magnificent. A wander around is full of beauty and wonder. They’ve done a lot of work on the property since I was last there also so now all the woodwork is new. The staff are always great, and the new breakfast set up is even better than the last. I always come back here because it’s reliable, clean, well situated and just a lovely please to unfurl.

The Adiwana Svarga Loka Retreat Resort makes your stay in Ubud unique, don't search no longer for a perfect home, here you will find it, beginning with a ceremonial welcome, the people there are all unbelievable kind and heart touching, helping you whenever you need. The place near by the river has a magical spirit and it is amazing how the beautiful Appartements, with good beds where you get good sleep, are integrated into the overwhelming nature. Everywhere you can find a cozy space to relax and they have fantastic offers, like afternoon Tea or to be active, music or dancing lessons or learn how to build the Canang Sari, offering baskets we did it with our little one, very special thanks to Pita. The Spa is very good too, located near by the river we got an unforgettable relaxing massage. You find here everything you needed including a perfect gourmet experience with the Kemangi Resto, the Brunch and the Dinner we highly recommend. So we had a fantastic stay and like to come again to the wonderful people there, I would like to thank everyone there who made our stay so precious.

My only concern is that I was in a room with connecting doors (ideal for families or friends travelling together but I was by own and I cherish my quietness). For few nights I had neighbours whom were a bit loud. So maybe better keep the connecting doors rooms for family and friends. And my room was facing the restaurant so not so private. Everything else was lovely.

The property is in a great location, in walking distance to a variety of cafes and restaurants, if you are adventurous and don’t mind the heat you can walk to the city centre easily. The Spa is beautiful , very serene and its location is the best of the whole resort. You are welcomed with beautiful smiles, kindness and a blessed ceremony. The breakfast is lovely, plenty to choose from for all tastes. The menus are very nice too. The property is central yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so very quiet. Overall highly recommended for few days in Ubud, I stayed 1 week.
