Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe cleanliness was not perfect, but it wasn’t bad. In Bali don’t wait western cleanliness.
The resort is in a really calm enviroment. You can find a shop near and nice restaurants. We get a free massage and the staff can help you with everything. There is a mosquito net above the bed, which is really helpful. There were some gekkos in the room, because the bathroom is a really bit open. The breakfast was the best in Bali.

AustraliaNo TV. Even if there is poor reception we would like to caste our phones perhaps. Now for this comment note we are older age group so perhaps not your target market... TOO MUCH NOISE!!!! It was appalling for us that the best most expensive room (Sea View Room) was directly across from bar and restaurant therefore exposed to continual so called music at high volume. This is not a a restful chill out resort, good for your soul. It's nonstop doof doof doof music. Then they had a music night with the band (who were very good and lovely people) right outside our veranda. So we walked to elsewhere for dinner and luckily it rained so no more music when we wanted to go to bed. Breakfast on our last day the kid in the bar was playing loud rap. NOT SUITABLE FOR A RESORT OR BREAKFAST MUSIC. The location is beautiful. It's not on a street. You don't need music to bring people in they are already there. Try silence. Let us hear nature. Waves crashing, birds calling, fishermen and boats. Other countries do it. I can't work out why Bali is afraid of Natural sound. And turn the lights off. ALL OF THEM! I had 2 nights really poor sleep as even with curtains closed the room was as bright as a night-time flood lit sports field. When I got up in the night I did not know whether to go to the toilet or look for a ball to kick. The curtaining might have worked but stops at the end of each window instead of continuing across the wall which is what you need for blackout. Remember...their most expensive room! 3 windows facing bar and restaurant. Needs the option of continuous blackout curtain. Not to mention sound proofing...triple glazing? And the food. Had crumbed fish snack for lunch. Factory made. Frozen then reheated. Old. This is an Amed problem. Lots of food wholesaler supplies I guess due to their remoteness But in a fishing town surely we could have fresh fish? So burgers etc all manufactured. Very sad but I guess goes with the noise. We are in Sanur now.
We love AMED Came here 20 years ago. Salt Resort is... A lovely clean modern comfortable small hotel. Beautiful location right on the sea shore with views to the horizon. Very willing friendly staff. Pool is excellent. Cocktails are excellent 😁. Breakfasts are very good with a reasonable range of options for a small property. Nothing is too much trouble tho' almost everything you want in room is already supplied unlike many Bali hotels these days. Hair dryer in room✔️ Complete tea coffee tray in room. Mini bar if you need it, tho like all mini bars a bit mahal. Pool towels already in room✔️ Full range of towels, shower, hand and face washers already there.

Great facilities, very compact for families. Amazing to have a kids club. Good restaurant and bar. Very convenient for families due to small size.

IndonesiaUnfortunately if your room is on the south side you are closer to the beach bar next door that plays music with deep bass that reverberates through your room. Annoying but nothing that the hotel can control. Thankfully it’s not all night and into the early hours.
Our favourite place in Amed located right opposite the beach. This was our third visit and we booked two rooms. Lovely pool and ideal location to stay. Many new cafes are within walking distance and local warungs are adjacent to the entrance road. Food and drinks are very good. There’s happy hour daily from 3-6 and all day Sunday for cocktails. Definitely a good reason to relax and enjoy the day. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a highlight after watching the sunrise. Great location for early risers to view the sunrise over the sea. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again no doubt.

FranceThe room is nice enough, but the bathroom really needs an update. There’s also a very strong, unpleasant smell coming from the pipes—I couldn’t spend more than five minutes in the bathroom without starting to feel nauseous from the odor. The restaurant is terrible—avoid eating there if you can. Not only is the food not good, but they also don’t have much fresh seafood. I tried ordering dishes with salmon and tuna on two different days, but the staff told me the fish wasn’t fresh. For me, it’s like—why even have food in the kitchen that isn’t fresh? And why list items on the menu if you can’t serve them properly? So the restaurant is definitely not the hotel’s strong point. Also—and this isn’t the hotel’s fault—but it’s hard and expensive to get around Amed because there’s no Grab or similar ride apps. In my opinion, the hotel is also a bit far from the more fun and lively parts of Amed.
The hotel has a nice pool with loungers by both the pool and the beach for sunbathing. There weren’t many insects in the room, which was something I was worried about, so that was good.

New ZealandThe owner was vaping constantly around all the guests, and videoing us without checking if it was okay. Pretty much. Everyone's faces constantly. Even though this won't probably be on public review, it would be good to let the owner know. The staff were so amazi g, but the owner let them down review wise.
The location is fabulous. Best spot on Amed Beach. We booked the beachfront room which was awesome. The Balinese staff were so warm, friendly and nothing was a problem.

AustraliaWhen we arrived we were informed that our room was in the Annex about 50 m from main building. Unfortunately to get to our room we had to cross a building site. My first impression was not good, I thought our rooms were still being built. However this was not the case, we went through a doorway in a rear wall and entered the Annex. There were only 3 rooms in the annex with own access to the beach. You could access the main resort area via the beach. I would recommend the house keeping staff spray the rooms every day for mosquitos. Our stay was very pleasant.

New ZealandThe resort was a little hard to find from the main road as no signage is visible until you are right outside the property. Free water is available, however you need to take your bottle to the restaurant to refill, this is a minor inconvenience but something worth noting.
Beachfront! Salt Resort has 10 main rooms, with budget rooms to the side. The pool is central to all of the rooms. The rooms are spacious, as is the bathroom. There is a mini fridge in the room, as well as instant coffee and tea. The spa therapists are lovely! There is a note saying they are redeveloping the spa area. We had a rate that included breakfast, which was tasty. The staff were super friendly and happy to help out with organising a driver/spa treatments.
