Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaStaffs can be a bit more polite. We used their laundry service and they lost one of my shorts. When we raised concern they just said that we must have not given them even though I had noted what all we had give. It might have been a one of instance but better to record or take pic of clothes that you are giving to laundry. We took the massage assuming that there would be a spa room whereas the masseuse just comes to your room and gives a massage. The bath tub wasn't working of our room, it was not holding down the water.
They have 3/4 standard brekafast options. We tried Frenchtoast(good) and avacodo toast and one day we tried american breakfast(not that great). Location is nice, all the market and popular places are 10-15mins bike ride away. The flooring is wooden flooring so might squeak when walking.

PolandThere should be better lighting, especially in the bathroom, towels and mosquito net should be replaced with new ones. Apart from that, everything is great.
Very nice hotel if someone likes to be away from the city noise. The staff is very nice and helpful in everything. Breakfasts are good. Dinners can be ordered and the chef cooks great. I recommend this hotel

Food was quite simple but my favorite was fresh juice in every morning. I do recommend this place, it is a budget friendly and atmosphere is great.

New ZealandThe location was far from Ubud & you need a car/motorbike to get around. Being in the jungle there was a lot of wildlife. Woken in the night by loud sceeching noises & 2nd night lots of banging & noises assumably from Tokay gecko which i only later learned about. The wooden bungalows unfortunately echo the sounds very loudly. The surrounding rice fields are lovely, but next door there is construction with 4 large villas being built less than 100m away, so this kind of ruins the tranquility. Although the pool area was lovely it's severly lacking in privacy & i felt a bit uncomfortable with the builders next door seeming to stare at you every time you went out by the pool.
The Villas were beautiful. Very spacious, with high ceilings, comfortable bed & lovely bathroom. Would have been nice to have a hair dryer & iron in the rooms. The gardens & pool area were also really lovely & very well maintained. It was exactly like the photos.

MaltaConstruction works currently going on right in front of the hotel ruining the beautiful view of the rice fields beyond the pool. An eye sore which is somewhat out of the hotel’s control.

RomaniaThe cleaning could be better for both bathroom and bedroom (dusting, brushing spider webs and gecko poo away) and the doors should close completely. The location is outside main Ubud area but there is construction work nearby at the moment so you still have some noise and the restaurants are quite far away and you need transportation, walking is not recommended in the area, specially at night time
The staff is very nice and helpful, location outside the main Ubud area so you enjoy more nature. The bedroom and bathroom are big. Nice, clean pool with sun beds where you can chill. We've had the wooden type of accommodation, I think the type is better

AustraliaWe had the best experience at Sunshine villas Ubud, the staff was so helpful and provided a very nice atmosphere. The hotel is in the heart of a small area in Ubud, where you can walk safely around and get access to different local places to eat. It is surrounded by nature only and local people, the true magical Ubud according to us. We did a massage at the swimming pool an evening, it was one of the best one we had so far. I truly recommend this place !
