AustraliaThe only disappointing thing was the building work going on so we couldn’t enjoy relaxing at the pool as just way too loud.
The location is wonderful we have been staying here for many years and love it. The staff are very friendly and so accommodating. The pool was a lovely space and the beds are large and extremely comfortable. Loved it and will be back.

Attentive, friendly staff. Clean, large room with everything you need. Beautiful, clean and big pool in a gorgeous garden full of plants and flowers. It is beachfront so you can just walk down to the beach whenever you want. The breakfast is good and the selection is great.

New ZealandWe were able to relax around the pool or on our patio in front of our room. We loved that we could fill our bottles with filtered water and loved the coffee which was also unlimited. Probably one of the best breakfasts on our whole trip to Bali. Staff were amazing absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Even gave us rides to places on back of there bikes.
Room was amazing, we were right on the beach it was so quiet and comfortable.

For Amed, a location better than this probably doesn’t exist - open sea views from the bed and direct access to the beach - couple minutes away from prime Amed beaches. The cherry on the cake is the ultra friendly staff who are switched on with identifying needs and helping make your stay as effortless as possible.

AustraliaThere was some construction happening while we stayed to expand the accommodation. (June 2025) Cot was not available for our baby however we were advised in advance so we were able to bring our own.
We loved our stay at Solaluna. Perfect location with beach access at the back gate, absolutely stunning views of Mt Agung from our balcony especially at sunset. A lovely pool to swim (our 3 year old loved it) set amongst a beautiful garden, just enough shops and restaurants around for convenience while still feeling very peaceful with little traffic in the neighbourhood. Such good value, we expected a budget homestay, it felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel!

We had a fantastic driver Tut who helped us during our stay , both driving us to Sidemon, and organising his friend Dek to get us to Amed. Tut’s number is +62 859-0432-0717. BrazilWifi in the first room upstairs was good. But in the downstairs room we moved to it was terrible. This was a hassle as Lion Air cancelled our flight at the last minute so it was challenging to make a rebooking. Our Telkomsel data didn't work so well a lot of the time also. The construction both in the hotel and nearby is noisy. However it only starts at 8am. So unless you are sleeping late it is not too bad just annoying
Very nice large rooms. We stayed in the new rooms at the back. The staff were so helpful. Made organised a motorbike for us. He also organised a snorkeling trip by boat. However it just takes you to beaches that you can get to by bike anyway. So 2 hours for 450K not worth it if you have a bike. But if you don't have a bike it is a good alternative. Nice swimming right in front of the hotel. Good choices for breakfast. The best is the avocado toast with spinach and eggs. Perfect poached eggs. They also offer a fruit salad option instead of juice which was delicious. Pancake option uninspiring. Nasi goreng a bit oily and tasteless unless you ask to make it spicy.

United StatesThe loud construction across the street. You can’t hear it from the bungalow though. Good news! Construction will be done very soon so it isn’t an ongoing issue. Amed is growing so some of this is to be expected.
A most excellent location in Amed. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow steps from the beach. Lovely and quiet. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including purchasing extra fins to make sure one of us had ones that fit. We are very excited to see the improvements happening - upgraded kitchen, new rooms and more. We hope to be back again soon!!

Honestly it was perfect. Great pool, very clean and spacious room. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Decent breakfast included. One step from the beach, two steps from the snorkelling spots. Bars, supermarkets, restaurants around.

Why? - new and clean room right on the beach - extra outside bed on the patio - exceptional breakfast (a la carte) - nice and helpful stuff always ready to help - everything (shops, restaurants, cafes) literally a few metres from Solaluna - for those who prefer swimming pools over the ocean, there is a nice one in the middle of the property (ocean is recommended though as the water is crystal clear, mostly calm and with spectacular view on the volcano) - laundry available (we used it and everything was OK) - reasonable prices for transportation - Grab is mostly unavailable here I
