It's really close to the marina, like a 3 minute walk. The breakfast is delicious, the staff is very kind and attentive. Rooms are very clean. Aircon working perfect .There's nothing I can complain about. You have to use translator. Is that a big deal? 💯 Recommend this place. And if you come here make sure to ask about Anun. He's a local guide. Speaks good English and he can tell you more about the island, its history and whatnot

If you want to visit the Thousand Islands, Tidung is a great choice (it is quite big, with several warung and a hospital!) and if you choose Tidung, then the best choice is the Sisca Homestay! If you get a room on the first floor, you have an amazing terrace to enjoy the view and the breeze in the evening/night. The rooms are very simple, but considering where you are, they are more than enough and very clean! As far as the beaches, the island in itself is not special (very few small beaches) but the Sisca's family is special! They arranged boats for us so we could visit amazing, different places, and they also provided tools for snorkeling. When needed they prepared for us delicious food, probably some of the best we had ! Basically in a few days we felt like home and we were very sad to leave them. They accompany us till the harbour (which is just 5 minutes walking!) to be sure we got nice seats. It was an amazing stay! Super relaxing, pleasant and full of talks ! We learned and shared a lot!

    Cockroaches and geckos

The home stay lady is sososo nice and the tour guy is helpful. They took me to see the sunset and lent me the motorcycle but I paid for it cuz I don’t like using things for free.

The bathroom was very simple, with a bucket and a ladle. There was a shower, but was basically not usable, because it was just dribbling… I think the water was salt water, but that’s probably the norm on those islands. The bathroom door was really dirty.

The staff (Boy :) ) were very friendly and helpful. We were surprised to get a homemade breakfast (fried noodles, fried rice…) every day. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We first were given a room on the ground floor with two giant beds but were asked to move upstairs where we (theoretically) had two rooms with big double beds. The beds were very comfortable and the mattress and pillows looked brand new, as did the AC. The windows were a bit crooked but we didn’t encounter any mosquitoes. We had a great view from the balcony onto the sea. The staff offered to guide us to the beach and organize a snorkeling trip. One day we were able to take bicycles for free. There was a water dispenser where we could take lukewarm and hot drinking water.

I had a comfortable stay but felt short changed given the TV did not work.

I had to ask for toiletries & bath towel but no toilet paper only bum gun. The power point were recessed 2 prong which is different to Jakarta but an adaptor was provided at my request. The entry door could not be locked from the inside which was a security issue. The bathroom door could not be locked from the inside. One ceiling light did not work but the main one did. No hot water shower but for 1 star accommodation on an island this is to be expected. My main issue was that they advertise a room with a TV yet in reality when I checked in I was told the TV does not work. There was no prior communication to alert me. If I had known the TV was not working I would have booked a room elsewhere. No compensation was offered.

Located only 300m from the ferry terminal. The room was clean and comfortable. The aircon worked fine. I received 2 breakfasts which was not included in my original booking. Check out is 12 noon but I was allowed to use my room until 2pm which was appreciated as the daily ferry departs 3pm.
