I am being picky when I say the finishings/cleanliness of the bathroom could be better but it was not bad at all considering it is shared. Shampoo, body wash and a towel is supplied which I really appreciated! Thank you!

Perfect location close to restaurants, sleeping pods gave privacy and a space to lay out personal things, comfy mattress, friendly staff who are open to conversation, simple and nice breakfast selection, in-house massage room… I really enjoyed my time at Secret Spot Surf and Stay and I would 100% stay again!

The property is opposite a school, so earplugs are useful for the early morning sing-along. ‘Surf’ is a little misleading (though that seemed true of Kuta in general). Lessons and board rental could be arranged, but all require scooters and/or boats to reach the waves.

Easy check-in with helpful staff and a friendly, relaxed vibe. Smaller than expected but had everything needed. Shared bathrooms were well-stocked and clean. Breakfast was on the smaller side but just right for us. Great location, set just off the main road but still close enough to all the action if that’s what you want.

Best Hostel I've ever been to! Lovely people, nice and cozy rooms with areas to chill. Very good breakfast, a rooftop to watch the sunset on, they have a guitar and a very good In-House Spa I highly recommend. I will definitely be back

Very clean, excellent dorm, a lot of space in the bed area, privacy, big lockers and good air conditioning. Good and clean showers. Very tasty breakfast and staff very kind and friendly. Also, location very good.

The bunk beds were comfortable and had enough space to put your things. There was a cozy hangout area with bean bags. Bathrooms were nice and clean. We did the surf lessons through the hostel which were super fun. The instructors were really knowledgeable and helped us improve our surfing so much. We also got a massage at the new oasis spa on the property which was very nice. The breakfast was also really tasty and had good options—smoothie bowls, pancakes, egg sandwich, eggs. What made this stay really exceptional, however, was the staff! They were all so friendly and helpful. It was so sad to say goodbye after our 5 days at secret spot!

Amazing staff! They’re so nice and welcoming, always willing to help. The dorm is really good, like the decoration, plenty of space in the bed to store things. I had a great time, met so good people that created a really nice ambience in the hostel during my stay. Good location! If you stay few days they change your linen and towels.

For me the only thing was the material of the sheets. They are synthetic material. I know I'm picky, but I don't sleep well if the sheets aren't cotton. If you're not picky about this.. it won't bother you ;)

Really cute little spot that can quickly feel like home. The staff are amazing, helpful, cheerful, and friendly. The breakfast is really good! Great surf lessons set up through the hostel. Easy to rent a motorbike and a great location to walk to town.

The bathroom in our room had a really bad smell and it seemed like the toilet is leaking when flushing which would also explain the smell.

Location is great, close to the main street, but far from the noise area. Breakfast is delicious. The staff is outstanding, super friendly. This is the best hostel I have been so far. Vibes are 10/10.

Although, I would have rated it a 10/10 if it had a pool; once you realise that the best beach is a 15 min scooter ride away, it would be nice to chill by the pool some days.

If you’re looking for a cozy, charming and quiet place to stay in the centre of Kuta, with the most beautiful and helpful staff, then look no further. I’m a slow traveller, not into heaps of partying but like to meet friendly & like-minded people, and work most days so this is exactly what I was after and what I received. I stayed for 2 weeks in both the dorm and a private room and both were great. Love that your bed space in the dorm feels like a cozy little nook with a shelf either side of the bed and curtain for privacy, and the bunks are made from concrete so you don’t hear the person above you moving.

My favourite hostel in the world! My 2nd time staying here in 2 years and it did not disappoint! The hostel is located in central Kuta, walking distance to all the best cafes, shops and restaurants, and can easily scooter to all the best beaches and surf spots. The dorm is spacious and beautifully decorated with lots of space around the bed for belongings. 24/7 security, feels super safe. Perfect for solo travellers you meet the nicest people here. The free breakfasts are the best i’ve had in a hostel! And all the staff are sooo lovely and helpful, it feels like a proper family vibe! Shoutout to Rhoni 🫶🏽 I’ve recommended this hostel to everyone I meet that’s planning a trip to Lombok!

I stayed here for three weeks and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were so kind, caring and funny! As a first time solo traveler they made me feel so safe and secure. The dorm is clean and you have a lot of space to put your stuff. The bathrooms are clean as well. The vibe at Secret spot was perfect for me, social but chill. I met a lot of amazing people there, most people were also solo traveling. The breakfast was amazing and the common area is very cozy! I will stay here when I return and I would recommend everyone who is coming to Lombok to stay here!🥰

Nothing at all, I will be going back

This was the kindest most welcoming hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff and the other guests were all so easygoing and lovely to be around, I made some great friends here. The breakfast is incredible and the beds are so comfy. You have so much space around your bed too so it’s like a mini bedroom, you get fresh towels and the showers are cleaned so often, they are hot and powerful too. There are several areas to relax and yoga mats you can use. I extended my stay 3 times because I didn’t want to leave, highly recommended to people not looking for a party hostel but looking to make good connected and chill.
